Eckhart Tolle in his wonderful book ‘Stillness Speaks’ explains…
“We depend on nature not only for our physical survival. We also need nature to show us the way home, the way out of the prison of our own minds. We got lost in doing, thinking, remembering, anticipating – lost in a maze of complexity and a world of problems.
We have forgotten how to be – to be still, to be ourselves, to be where life is: Here and Now.Whenever you bring your attention to anything natural, anything that has come into existence without human intervention, you step out of the prison of conceptualized thinking and, to some extent, participate in the state of disconnectedness with Being in which everything natural still exists.
When walking or resting in nature, honor that realm by being there fully. Be still. Look. Listen. See how every animal and every plant is completely itself. Unlike humans, they have not split themselves in two. They do not live through mental images of themselves, so they do not need to be concerned with trying to protect and enhance those images. The deer is itself. The daffodil is itself.
All things in nature are not only one with themselves but also one with the totality.”
Many of us feel disconnected from the source of Being. In this short 2 minute video Eckhart discusses how nature can help us return to the fullness of presence and peace…
Eckhart shares his relationship with nature and explains how it can support and guide us.
He discusses how being in Nature can help us return to a state of peace. He often escaped to Nature as a child (as many of us did), and remembers he always had the feeling that he was shedding a burden.

One particularly striking memory he shares with us is the repetitive sentence he heard every time he was in nature: “This will always be here.”
He found tremendous peace in that phrase, because to him it meant that compared to the transitory nature of the man-made world, nature seemed virtually infinite – certainly greater than him and us.
And if you can’t be in Nature, you CAN use a mental image of your desired relationship with nature and even listen to the beautiful nature sounds within The LifeFlow Program. Designed and created to speed up the process of meditation boosting your mood and letting your worries fade away!

sometimes when in nature if I become aware I can tune in to the vibrations in the
atmosphere and feel the energy. If you feel good or are on the right track
psychologically and your vibration is strong this can be quite a special experience
How inspiring to hear your thoughts on the gift of nature Justin. How wonderful to be feel so connected with your natural surroundings.
A very special and rewarding experience indeed. Thanks for sharing your connection with nature – Namaste – the Project Meditation Team 🙂
