    Hi,
I have gone though the Discover Meditation course and am ready to start on the Lifeflow10. However, I am confused about how long I should listen to Lifeflow10 for and whether I should use the Mantra I had from TM.

In the Discover Meditation it talked of meditating for up to 20 mins and in TM it was unusual to meditate for longer than 20 mins. It looks like with Lifeflow10 I should meditate for 40mins. That can't be right.

Sorry if I am missing something, but I listened to the very brief Lifeflow intro but did not hear anything in answer to this question.

Hi there and welcome to the community :)

you can meditate with LifeFlow using your TM mantra or another one, whichever you prefer. You can meditate for 20 mins once or twice a day - you can even meditate for 10 to 15 minutes, as long as you remember that it initially takes approximately 8 minutes to entrain to the desired frequency. The following link explains this:-

Over time you may choose to meditate to LifeFlow for 40 minutes.

Here's a link to a great thread which I think you will find extremely helpful:-

Look forward to hearing how you progress and wish you much peace and joy :) :) :)

Initially with TM, they teach people to meditate for between 10-20 minutes depending on prior experience and how well you seem to be doing during any checks. However, the more experienced meditators (often after some years of experience) will increase the meditation time to 30 minutes or more.

There are some schools of thought that say there is little extra benefit from meditating for more than 30 minutes, though I'm not sure what that is based on, and I've been perfectly happy to meditate for 40 minutes.

    Hugs
