Levels 10 & 9 give feelings of unwellness

I can feel that project meditation material is very powerful and the demo worked well in terms of a great experience, coming out refreshed with much greater sense of peace and focus, just what I was looking for.

However, the demo having made me want to go further, I've found that levels 10 & 9 somehow take me in a different direction, with unsettling disturbances in my head, reflected as a feeling of unwellness in my body. This so much so that I'm put off using the material.

I use earbuds which give good bass response with good overall sound, and have cut sessions down to 20 minutes which doesn't really help.

I'm wondering if it's the multiple types of simultaneous stimulation which is causing this. I did have a similar response to another (teaching) program which used multiple techniques, but it's only just occurred to me, that was the case previously, which I used for many months. I just assumed it was par for the course at that time. But now I'm wondering if there's a similar pattern as binaural beat material often seems more amenable and helpful without ill effects.

I was looking for suggestions to use the material where it's effect may not be so strong in some way, in case that might help, or any other pointers.

Big thanks for any input on the above.

Hi John and welcome to the community :)

here are a couple of suggestions you may like to try. As you enjoyed the demo (which is 14 minutes) why not try using LifeFlow 10 for the same amount of time initially?

Also you could play quietly without headphones and see how you feel. If you are meditating, it may be that you are resisting something. Here's a link to some really helpful information that should help:-

One question, if you are meditating, what technique are you practicing?

Look forward to hearing your reply and wish you much peace and joy :) :) :)

    John,

You say you are using earbuds with good bass response.
Are they altering the bass of the original track? If so, this could effect the entrainment frequencies.
Also, are you listening to it too loudly? You can meditate to the track with it turned almost all the way down so it's barely audible and the entrainment beats will still work, perhaps try playing it more quietly, as you don't need to be consciously trying to listen to it anyway. ;)

    Hugs

    Some Success

    Thanks both, for your replies.

As for the amount of time spent, on the demo I was running it twice. Since it was taking a good while to get 'synced', I felt I needed more time having taken a while to get locked in.

I'm not meditating as such, let the material just take me. (I did learn TM decades ago BTW)

I'm certain the earbuds aren't changing anything in terms of frequencies or sound but they may be too loud/strong, as there's a very tight connection in terms of air movement, due the rubber seals plugged into the ears. The bass end is extremely clear with great extension. My listening level, although it didn't seem loud, may have been just too much. I've tried a number of binaurals over the years, where loudness is possibly more important.

    Some Success:

Thinking about how I used the demo, it was with headphones, and on trying the headphones with Level 10, it's hitting the spot. I've tried two pairs with good results. I'm not quite sure why - if it ain't broken etc ...

I will try the earbuds again at some point, with lower level.

Big thanks for your help, much appreciated!
