Deliberate creation vs. acceptance

    Hi, all.

    I have been trying to apply the Law of Attraction for a couple of months. I am wondering something:

    LOA teachers tell me that the more I focus on thoughts and feelings of having what I want ("positive" thoughts), the more I will manifest it. Respectively, the more I focus on thoughts and feelings of not having what I want ("negative" thoughts), the more I will perpetuate the lack of it. Hence, when I am thinking negative thoughts, the "right" thing to do is to not acknowledge them but instead try to change them and think positive thoughts instead.

    Meanwhile, all sorts of other sources tell me that happiness lies in accepting my circumstances, including my thoughts and feelings. So, from this perspective, when I am thinking negative thoughts the "right" thing to do is to acknowledge them and not try to change them.

    This is an apparent contradiction. Can anyone help me understand this?

    It can be subtle.

    I often hear people around me saying things like, " I am trying really hard to ...". The subtle context is to stop trying and just do.

    This subtleness is evident here as well in the arm wrestle between positive and negative thinking. In my experience, acceptance of "what is" tends to stop the eternal cycle of analysis of whether it is positive or negative. By breaking that cycle, the focus can return to living in the now of what is to be manifested.

    By living a life of "trying" or the eternal forensic analysis of whether thinking is positive or negative take you out of now to somewhere else. For things to manifest and to be drawn to the now, your focus must remain on now.

    This is actually a very good question, eckhart tolle talks a lot about acceptance, and abraham-hicks vortex is the best i have heard on the subject. i think a good analogy is you are driving down the road and you get a flat tire. your 6 blocks from a gas station, and your cell phone service goes in and out. if you freak out, have fear and are negative, this will not help in any way in the situation, you will first have to accept the situation, and control only what you can control. if you can walk 6 blocks, if you can get 5 minutes of reception, if you can get a tow truck. Don't stress out about wheter you have money for a watch next week, if you buy a tire, live in the moment, calm down, accept and think in a logical manner. watch bashar youtube video on circumstances don't matter state of mind matters.

    Attachment may be the problem

    As Humans, we always want control of the perfect ending of our desires. And if we don't get that, we tend to start thinking... ok... what did I do wrong or why isn't it working.

    When you desire something, feel it... I mean really feel the absolute joy of have it. Jump up and down and say oh THANK YOU! Then detach from it. Let' the Universe bring that or something better to you. The more you think about something, your mind... as brilliant as it is... will start the worry process of why isn't it here? Then you stop the momentum.

    So once you jump up and down and really feel it, you have sent off the rocket of desire to the Energy field that surrounds you... The toroidal field. Then allow it to come in perfect time. Meditation can then help you to release the outcome and you automatically match the vibration of what you want by simply feeling the joy of having it. If you study the science behind the Law of Attraction, you can better understand what is happening in your immediate environment. Your thoughts have a profound effect on your immediate area and those who are within your energy field. It brings it down from thinking about the expansive Universe and brings it down to your local area. Just got to love the Law of Attraction... ever expanding as we humans evolve.
