Default Questions as a newbie!

Hello All -

I recently purchased the Life Flow level 10. I had been using HoloSync for quite a while, but decided to make the shift after reading reviews about LF. In addition, I have also downloaded the Discover Meditation course. However, I am a little confused on how to meditate while using LF. With Holosync, I would just sit my eyes closed and didn't chant a mantra or anything.

Here are my questions:

1. In the Discover Meditation course, they say you should sit down in a chair and meditate. However, in the LF manual, they say you can lie down as well. I had been doing my Holosync sessions sitting upright in a bed with my legs crossed and my back supported with pillows. Can I use the same form or do I have to sit in a chair? Or better yet, can I lie down?

2. LF recording is 40 minutes long, so does that mean I have to meditate for 40 minutes? What if I meditate for only 30 minutes, should I stop the LF recording after that?

3. How long should I stay at each LF level. In the manual it said 30 days, but in the introduction recording it said 60 days?

4. How should I listen to guided meditations? In other words, should I listen to them outside of my regular meditation sessions?

5. Can I listen to Paraliminal CDs right after my LF session or would that be a hindrance in any way?

Thank you for your help!

Welcome to the community Ksarin

I have had tremendous results meditating with LifeFlow and I almost always lie down. Meditation has it's own unique benefits and LifeFlow enables you to entrain to states perfect for meditation far more easily than you would through traditional methods.

Here is a link that has helped many people here:-

Principles of Meditation & Entrainment

Have been away for a couple of days and will reply to each of your questions tomorrow, although I believe the above link will be of great service to you. Wishing you much peace and joy

Hi again ksarin

glad you found the principles of meditation and entrainment helpful.

LifeFlow tracks start and end right at their targeted entrainment frequency enabling you to use for short or longer meditation and/or relaxation sessions. If you want to meditate for 15/20/30 minutes that's great and you don't need to turn LifeFlow off at this point. You can leave it playing and just relax or do the gratitude exercise or affirmations etc.

You can also play the 2 bonus tracks Creative Flow and Optimal Learning for as long as you choose...

You can listen to Creative Flow with headphones and without and you can play for as long as you choose with a variety of activities. Here are a few suggestions…

.Relaxing
.Studying and revising
.Designing, painting and creative work
.Reading
.Working at computer
.Using affirmations and auto suggestions

You can listen to Optimal Learning with headphones and without and you can play for as long as you choose whenever you are learning, studying or simply relaxing.

Here are a few examples from posts in the community of how different people benefit in this way:-

Parents play at bedtime to help children (and themselves) go to sleep within minutes
Pet owners play to calm their nervous dogs
Business manager uses it for “Power napping” between business meetings.

Once you become comfortable and familiar with LifeFlow 10 and begin to experience benefits in your daily life (Feeling calmer etc.) you will be ready to move onto the next lower frequency. It's recommended that you stay with each level for at least 30 days, though some prefer 60 days.

Each level of LifeFlow will guide you gently and naturally into an extremely beneficial brainwave state that builds a solid foundation for the next deeper level. Each step is equally interesting, equally unique and equally valuable.

Regarding the guided meditations, yes, these can be listened to outside of your regular meditation session. However, you could listen to a guided meditation while playing LifeFlow as an extra if you choose.

If your paraliminal C.D.'s do not incorporate entrainment, you could listen to them straight after your meditation session while LifeFlow is still playing. If they do contain entrainment I would probably leave a bit of time before playing.

Hope this helps and I wish you much peace and joy

Just ensure you are comfortable. Lying down can cause the body to enter a state where it wants to sleep, so this can actually make meditating difficult. Most people find it easier to meditate without falling asleep if they are sitting upright, however they choose to sit.

2. LF recording is 40 minutes long, so does that mean I have to meditate for 40 minutes? What if I meditate for only 30 minutes, should I stop the LF recording after that?
It is said that the entrainment frequencies require around 8 minutes before they start working effectively on the brain. Just play the track for as long as you want, but ensure it's at least that time if you want to gain any benefit. You can stop it or leave it playing in the background as you choose once you finish meditation.

3. How long should I stay at each LF level. In the manual it said 30 days, but in the introduction recording it said 60 days?
I thought the introduction suggested around 30 to 60 days, unless Michael's changed it. Certainly you want to be doing it for at least a month between levels.

4. How should I listen to guided meditations? In other words, should I listen to them outside of my regular meditation sessions?
The guided meditations have a specific purpose i.e. to deal with certain issues, and in my view, a guided meditation is a different sort of meditation to a mantra/self meditation. I personally would use the guided medtiations seperateley from my main meditation.

5. Can I listen to Paraliminal CDs right after my LF session or would that be a hindrance in any way?
It's always best not to mix different technologies in my view. Otherwise how are you going to know which one you are getting benefit from? You may get benefit from both, but you may only be getting benefit from one and not the other, but you won't know unless you are clear about which you are using.

Hugs

Giles
