entrainment signal

Hi I`m now using LF8 and have noticed that each disc has a different rate heartbeat running through it. Is this the entrainment signal? and if not, are you supposed to hear it? Also I`m not sure what the best volume setting is for optimum results.

Hi phaedrus,

you can turn the volume really low if you like and the entrainment will still have exactly the same effects. I would also recommend varying how you listen, that is, sometimes with headphones and sometimes without.

Thanks Polly. I`m still not sure if the entrainment signal is the different rate heartbeats running through the recordings. I will try without headphones as you suggest

It's one of the entrainment beats yes. I believe it's the binaural beats that are generated from the combination of frequencies of left and right headphones, so the sound isn't really there on the recording, but the combination of frequencies creates it in the brain.

As polly says, you can turn the volume really low and it will still work. You don't need to be able to consciously able to hear the beats for it to work as the brain will still pick up on the frequencies as needed.
