Question Returning with question

Hello to everyone
I'm embarrassed to admit I let my meditation slide. I had completed all levels, over an 18month period, with exception of the gamma ones at the end (nirvana etc.) Life was different with Lifeflow, up beat and great despite physical problems of ME/CFS . Somehow life took over and for over a year meditation slipped my mind. I guess in a way I treated Lifeflow like a pill or medication, instead of a way of life. Now when things are going wrong (breast cancer treatment and side effects) I suddenly remember how great I used to feel not to mention the physical benefits I gained.
My question is, after such a break, do I approach meditation with Lifeflow as a beginner again? I feel like a humbled naughty school girl who hasn't done her homework
Kind regards to all.

Hi Optimist,

It happens... sometimes 'other' things in life do seem to get in the way.

If you consider that Lifeflow is like buliding a sandcastle... it's taken the sand that has been flattened down on the beaches and builds it up to some magnificent structure, and continuing practice comes along each day and makes sure the castle is still standing. Over time however, if it's not tended to, then 'nature' comes along and starts to flatten it back down.

I would recommend starting at the beginning again and see how it works for you. You may just need a week or two at each level rather than as long as you gave them before, because there will still be some residual entrainment in the brain left over from before. Go with what feels right.

Hugs

Giles

Thank you Giles. The sandcastle makes a lot of sense, and with "bucket and spade" I have begun rebuilding. Somehow, I don't think I will let it wash away again now that I realise its value.
Kind regards Rose
