Smile Hi Everyone!

I have been meditating on and off for the past 5-7 years. I do know that when I meditate on a regular basis, I feel calmer and less reactive in general. Things don't bother me as much. I just wish I had the same discipline with it that I have with exercise.

Anyway, as the single mother of two teens, I'm trying to find times when I won't be disturbed. This is usually first thing in the morning, when the house is quiet. But I find that I'm so tired and sleepy, I nod off when trying to meditate.

Right now, I'm listening to the meditation lessons for review before I start LF10; I'm hoping to get help for my insomnia (the demo was very helpful getting me to sleep) and just helping me be a better version of my self in general.

I enjoy this forum and look forward to reading more as I go on.

best

Gina/Periwinkle

Hi Gina and welcome to the Project Meditation community,

It can be tricky finding time to meditate sometimes, but if you let your family know that you want a bit of time for yourself, most will respect that. The problem often arises when people think that meditation is a bit of a wacky thing to do so they try and do it 'in private' without telling anyone, and then they usually end up getting disturbed.

Let us know how you get on.

Hugs

Giles

Default Hi All!

Hello everyone! I recently discovered meditation about a month ago and last night I discovered Lifeflow. I can honestly say that for the first time in my life I am finally beginning to find myself, to truly find myself and while it is a bit scary I am embracing it. It's refreshing to be able to be a part of such a unique community and look forward to my journey ahead
