Smile My discover meditation journey.....

Hey Guys,

I hope you are all well and enjoying your meditation experiences.

On Thursday last week I decided to use 35 of my karma credits to get discover meditation.

I have listened to 3 of the cd's so far and have mediated 3 times.

The first time I meditated I found it quite easy and the music at the end where Michael says you can have a few minutes to be thankful I really, really enjoyed that part the best it made me feel great and equipped me very well for the day ahead. However throughout the day I started to feel a little irritable and a little emotional about things that normally don’t bother me. So I got a little worried and didn’t do my meditation the next day. (Which by the way was a mistake, I should have just worked through it).

The second time I meditated I found it quite easy again which was great. The bells are wonderful. It saves me opening my eyes all the time to check the time which I always used to do when practicing TM. Again I very much enjoyed the music at the end of my session.

The third was again the same. AMAZING

I feel ready for anything and I am so glad I worked through my worries just imagine if I hadn’t I would be missing out on SO much.
I find that it has helped me already even in the short time I have practiced it.
I am really excited about the weeks and months ahead. I really believe it is going to help me achieve my goals.

I will keep you all updated on my journey.

Thank you to everyone who has posted success stories, offered advice, asked questions and the rest it really has helped me with the my meditation journey please keep them coming. Life flow sounds fantastic I think I will be trying that very soon.

I hope you have an outstanding week full of love, happiness, excitement, and great meditation.

Chat soon

Ariel x

Default It seems good for ya!

Good to hear Ariel.

It seems you have taken well to meditation. Good for you!

I think some people seem to just take to it easier than others in my experience anyway! Keep it up... PW

Yes I definitely agree as I have done meditation for a little while a few years ago. I was already comfortable with my mantra and I don't beat myself up if thoughts do drift in and out when I meditate, I always remember to bring it back to my mantra.

My advice to others struggling with their mantra is - if your mind does get side tracked or a thought pops into your head just calmly bring back your mantra, there is no need to panic or become stressed just be calm and go with the flow.

I really like how Michael talks you through everything in his discover meditation CD’s this made everything much simpler for me. I love the bells as I don’t need to interrupt my meditation by constantly opening my eyes to check the time. Cd 3 and 4 are amazing and make meditating that much easier. Thank you Michael!

The wonderful music at the end is my favorite part, it brings me nicely out of my meditation and it makes me feel so happy and thankful

Thank you very much Michael.

I have now missed 2 days of my meditation and I am missing it already .
I will definitely be fitting it in tomorrow. I keep finding things to do instead of my meditation which I know is no excuse. I am going to try my best to keep disciplined.

Its great coming on here for advice or just to read other peoples posts to inspire me to carry on and remind me of the benefits of meditation. As I am not knowledgeable about meditation apart from the benefits, it’s great to have some really knowledgeable people around me for days when I might feel like it’s difficult to meditate or I have a question. It really helps me to keep focused.

Thank you to everyone for some great posts and success stories. They really do help.

Keep Smiling

Ariel x

Default Hi Smartie,

I would just do Discover Meditation as Michael instructs you to do which is initially saying your mantra at first and then just thinking it. Discover Meditation will teach you to meditate very quickly and then you can speed up the process with Lifeflow. I use "Creative Flow" when I'm visualizing - I find it really helps me. I hope this helps you. Happiness and joy

Smartie, the first 1-2 months of meditating, I recommend to not visualise yet. I myself found it to be hard enough to just learn to meditate in the beginning.

Just repeating your mantra and not forcing yourself to keep it going, but gently returning to your mantra when your thoughts have wondered off, without beating yourself up about it was enough of a challenge for me.

Once having learned to go with the flow, meditation became wonderfull and I could start with visualisation ( afterwords, not during meditation ).

And finally, there is no doing it wrong in meditation, as long as the result is that after meditation, you feel ( even mildly ) more relaxed then before you started. If you experience that, your meditations will just continue to go deeper and further.

Just keep going, don't give up, persiverance is the key here !
When you have very busy days, don't give up on meditation that day because you don't have 30 minutes to spare, just do a 10 minute meditation and promise yourself to do a longer one when your life becomes less demanding again .
