Default When does theory become reality?

This will seem a strange post, as I will be answering my own questions that have plagued my seeking.

You see I first tried religion to quell my thirst but that brought up more questions than answers, I tried Tai Chi and Qigong, which put me in touch with my body senses, I then added Buddhism to seek the truth, the elements were there, roots of truth especially in the phycology. Through Buddhism, I encountered meditation, Ahh! Could this be it, maybe? As I went deeper the truth was there, but elusive and confusing. Reiki attunement came, went, and enhanced meditation, especially when I encountered Vipassana. Here I found a calm and quiet space. Throughout this time, I read everything on all types of spiritual enlightenment, meditation, peace, love and harmony. All resonated at a deep level, but confused me even more.

Through this site, several months ago, I was introduced to non-duality at first I trod carefully as I was beginning to get weary of seeking. But, through careful selection and slow reading the realisation has begun, my seeking was in vain, there was nothing to seek, there was no truth to find, it was here all along, right here, not in mind or body, but the space that permeates everything, I do not have to seek to be at peace. Anger, frustration, stress are here to be allowed not controlled, laughter and serenity are here to be allowed but not forced. Mark is not Mark, Karmoh is not Karmoh, I could go on… but as a analogy, I have lost a million and found a penny that I had never lost. And that's the penny I was born with and it will never change in value, it will never tarnish or change hands and when I die, I will toss the penny in the air and it will merge back in to the bank (universe).

Much love to all.

Hi Karmoh,

Great post! I know exactly what you mean although haven't personally visited many of the places you have.

I was pondering this issue at a time of stress earlier this week in my garden. It wasn't until I looked upon a rose bud and realised that it unfolds in its own time and own way (no matter what I do, think or say) that increased understanding of the Mystery dawned.

Nothing but the best...

Hi Olmate,
Yes exactly, the rose bud knows!
One of the best things about bieng human is that we can talk, write and swap these concepts of perceived reality.
I Think it was Mr Spock who said "There's life Jim but not as we KNOW IT"

I have just read your recent posts, testing times in QLD/NSW. My heart goes out to you and all that are affected.

We recently lost our house in the Canterbury Earthquake, my small business was run from that house suffered greatly too. When it was over and I stood astride a fissure that carved our house in two, right through my meditating area, I look at my wife and she looked at me and said... “Meditate on that Gandhi”. We fell about laughing.

Peace

Floods vist, massive cyclones visit, earthquakes visit, friends are mssing and suffering and grief visit.

Looking over my notes, looking for guidance, written by many wise Souls over the eons, the instructions are all the same...

Be in harmony with the whole of creation, whatever that brings. Be awake. Be still. Be silent.

I can't do much about the fury of nature. Outwardly there is little I can do about the loss and suffering.

But I can sit, be still, be silent, be mindful. Those are the instructions and I can do that - so that is what I do.

Theory meets reality.
