Default sleepless night

I meditate first thing in the morning and last thing at night. Most nights I fall asleep after I meditate but there are some nights (about once a month) that I can't fall asleep at all. I try more meditation but doesn't help. It almost seems like too much adrenaline in my system. Any suggestions?

Hi there,

Some people find their bodies get re-energized when meditating at bedtime and feel they are not sleepy. I definately fit into this category. Maybe you could try to just play one of the delta tracks when this happens. It may help you relax and drift off to sleep.

Let us know how you get on - wishing you much peace and joy

Usually I don't get energized from meditation, just relaxed and can lay in bed and fall asleep. What is a Delta track?

LF3, LF2, LF1 are all delta tracks. Theta could help also - they are LF7, LF6, LF5 and LF4
Will look for more info for you tomorrow and post

Excuse but where are these tracks located?
I can't seem to find them from the package I downloaded on the top left of the site.

I think you've downloaded the free meditation course, the 'LF' tracks Pollyanna refers to are LifeFlow tracks which you need to pay for before you can gain access to them.

If you've already coughed up your pennies and still can't access them, contact the Project Meditation support team who should be able to assist you.

Sounds quite normal to me. Some days are just so stressful, that its hard to relax, even with meditation.

My suggestions would be, if you feel youre stressed do some autogenous training (like "i am completly relaxed and calm" - feel it in your body) and maybe other relaxation techniques (like PMR - progressive muscle relaxation).

All the best,
Phil
