My main question is: does this mean that the earlier CDs 'force' your brainwaves to stay at Alpha levels? What I mean is, if someone is a semi-experienced meditator, will using the earlier CDs keep them at a shallower level of meditation than they're used to?

Since Michael has kindly made CD 10 available as a freebie for signing up, I'm certainly going to give it a shot - it certainly seems to demonstrate that he has faith in his products - but I have to admit to being a little worried in case the CDs restrict me to nothing but Alpha for the first few months.

Thanks!

John

Ive been wanting to try this program for a long time and as I moved to the next CD I was going to loan them to myuncle who has severe depression.

On the quoted text you mentioned CD10 is free for signing up....where is that? I would love to try it and perhaps even hae m unlce try CD10 before we commited to the program.

Thanks for teh help.

Default Spectograph analysis

Hi Rave,

Thanks for the very enlightening post! I have a question for you. Since its a technical question, you would probably be the best person to answer it.

As we use isochronic, monoaural and binaural entrainments on LF tracks, what effect would it have on the mind if we simultaneously play the LF track ( 1 track) through headphones and speakers? Some people have commented that since their may a microsecond lag time between the nervous system getting the binaurals and the body getting the isochronics and Monaurals a little latter, that this difference creates some problem if we were to listen to the track simultaneously via headphones and speakers.

I, like you perhaps, dont like wasting time and maximising the effects I get with LF. So, it seems to me that if we can do headphones and speakers simutaneouls then this would be a win/win. Then again perhaps this would diminish the effect due to the lag time between speakers and headphones.

What do you think?

Sincerely,

drwill

Hi John,
this link may answer your question. After meditating for a number of years I bought the Lifeflow pack earlier this year. I had praticed T.M. for years and used binaural beats also. I began with Lifeflow 10 and found it to be amazing. I have actually listened to all the tracks now with and without headphones. To-day, I meditated with Lifeflow 8 and it was wonderfully peaceful. I use the Alpha and theta levels the most because of all the beneficial hormones that are released. The scientific research is also really informative reading. Hope this answers your questions John.Peace and happiness to you Pollyanna
Hi Pollyanna,

You stated that the scientific research' is also really informative reading. Can you direct me to some links as I haven't been able to find any scientific research on lifeflow2.0, although I must confess that I have just started on CD10 and totally love the feeling

I also played the Optimal Learning CD, for the fist time today and I felt a very hot but pleasant feeling around my hips and all in between, somehow, I saw my laptop next to me (although it was in a different room) and saw grey smoke (now that I think about it is rather odd) coming out, not from my body, but adjacent to my right hip, and at that point I opened my eyes, just in case!

It would be interesting to read some scientific foundings about this particular programe, especially as some of my friend do not believe anything unless it has been scientifically researched.

Thank you for all your encouragements

Sogno

Default To Raven

Hello Raven,

I just wanted to confirm that it was a very good thing to put your feedback regarding brainwaves on the homepage. I was literally about to buy the product from Holosync, my mind was made up: I just wanted to check their web site once again on the Internet before buying it, so I typed their name on google.
My credit card was next to me on the table but as I went through the list of web sites on the google page, I thought that it could be good to read a review of the product before buying it, so I clicked on the page that was comparing Life Flow and Holosync and I read your feedback.
It was so complete, so clear, so articulate and you sounded like you really knew what you were talking about that it couldn't be some sales fluff. It sounded very real. It absolutely convinced me and thanks to you project Meditation sold another Life Flow product that day!

I'm very happy regarding my choice about Project Meditation, the tracks are great and we get so many downloads that my head is spinning. Besides, I really love the fact that there is a little community where we can talk, that's pretty nice.

I am going to put a link of Project Meditation on my own coaching web site, as I think that it could be a great tool for my clients. Not sure all of them will be able to understand the home page (they speak French) but for those who do, it is worth a shot.

Anyway, thank you so much for your technical feedback Raven, it was very nice of you to give all this information and your knowledge along with the sincerity of your words convinced me.
And I am sure that I am not the only one.
Michael should think about giving a free Cd perhaps .. just a thought

Kind regards,

Dominique

Default compressed ultra low freqency

5hz and other low frequencies.
I'm curious about the fact on how all that all ultra low frequensies are being reproduced. As far as I now, humans are only able to hear frequencies of above 20Hz. below are subject to feel only. Right?
All audio equipment specially headphones and speakers do perform very sub-linear and perform very poor or not at all at these frequencies.
LifeForm instructions told me to play as is... The first thing I noticed was a very deep (pretty loud) deep hum. I do have an high end audio-system that is able to produce deep tones, but don't know anything about the linearity. What is the right amount these tones... Linearity is pretty much a non defined variable in this matter.

Other: Can ultra low frequency be compressed at all. What's the frequency range of mp3? 0-xxKhz depending on the bitrate?
In case of binaural beats at low levels... Is it still present in compressed format or completely masked?

A few comments would be appreciated. (raven?)

I was wanting to ask about listening to the CD 10. I noticed that you said to be off medications 24 hours before listening to it. Well my question is that I am taking antidepressants and was wondering does that qualify? Because as you know , you cannot just stop taking those. Thanks.

Paul, I'll quote the introductory text from the free "Discover Meditation" download. It answers your question and some you didn't ask.
"If you were taking medication for an illness and you were going to begin a
physical exercise program it would be advisable to consult your doctor. The same applies with meditation. If you are taking medication for an illness check with your doctor that it is O.K. for you to go ahead with meditation at this point in your life.

You need to have an alert mind to enable you to enjoy this new experience so you need to be free of alcohol or non prescribed drugs for at least 24 hours.

Wait 2 hours after a full meal or 1 hour after a snack or caffeine drink before
meditating.

If you smoke, it is better to wait 30 minutes before meditating.
"

In other words, you should continue taking your prescription drugs, but you should consult your doctor. Meditation, and certainly meditation with brainwave entrainment, will gradually alter your brain. Over time it will normally stabilize mood on a higher level, but the time this takes is very individual. Always consult your doctor before you change your use of prescribed medication of any kind!
