How do you Meditate ?
Do you do any regular meditation? Regular as in on a schedule?
Personally , I went to a teacher that does a well known technique, and it has help me out immensely.
In my personally view Meditation is a mental discipline by which one attempts to get beyond the conditioned, practice in which an individual trains the mind and consciousness to realize some benefit
What do you do?

How do I meditate?
Depends. I may experiment around with how the mind works trying to find something about it. I could be experimenting with ways to controlling the inner chatter. I could be doing focused meditation to chosen object or allowing the focus to freeflow being mindful of its placement but still keeping it to a single point. I could start out concentrating on one point and then add another...etc. I could just practice how different types of breathing makes me feel.
It is best just to have fun with it.

Creating the little daily habit of simply entering the quiet within, without having any expectations has brought about so many benefits in my daily life. For many years prior to this, I had no idea how simple and vital this little practice would be to me.
You really have to experience it to know There are all kinds of weird and wonderful perspectives on meditation and people want to meditate for a whole variety of reasons. Some are afraid of it too.
We all have this space within. For me it's a true blessing to simply enter and rest a few minutes a day. It's the most natural, healthy way to create the balance and harmony to really enjoy life one moment at a time.
Wishing you an abundance of peace and joy

I pretend to stare at a dot in front of me while my eyes are closed and try my best to not look off cause thoughts will cause me to look away from it.

How do I meditate?
When I meditate with Life Flow I doze off, when I was with Holosync they said that this didn't matter as the entrainment would work any way, is this so?
Or do I have to use a mantra or focus on something? I find it difficult to stay awake, unless I am stressed!

From what I know, it does matter. When you're asleep, the brain enters a different state of activity and the entrainment waves won't be as effective. When you are in a meditative or relaxed state, then the entrianment waves are supposed to be at their most effective as the activity of the brain is reduced (so not blocking the action of the entrainment so much) yet is still receptive to the entrainment sounds being recevied through the senses.

If you are finding it difficult to stay awake, how are you practicing? If you meditate sat upright in a comfortable chair (without head supported) then this can be very effective for meditation and you're less likely to fall asleep, though of course it does depend on when you are meditating and how tired you physically are. A good time to meditate and listen to lifeflow is first thing when you wake up... it can really enliven you for the day.
Hugs

Meditation
Thanks Giles, with Life Flow I assumed that you started at 10 and worked back but the other day I saw a blog how you could use 5,6,&7 for relaxation and 10, 9, & 8 for another purpose, do we start at 10 and work back?
Cheers Tabbitt
