Nah, I don't think you're crazy. From my experience, meditation sharpens the senses.
One of the first things I noticed in this regard was after a longer (30-40min) meditation session. I was sitting in a room with a light on overhead / behind me, facing the dark side of the room. When I came out of it, upon stretching my arms, I noticed I could see the light reflecting off my arms while I still had my eyes closed... This was strange at first until I realized I just had heightened sensitivity to light.
I've also noticed that things usually appear much clearer (but not really very different) after I open my eyes... It's as if my mind can take in more of my sight's information.
When I meditate outside, the sun seems to enhance this feeling of clarity.
So, seems pretty normal to me, hope this helped ;D
