Early Moog syth music for Meditation, suggestions?
I am a musician and percussionist. I'm looking for the best possible meditation music for myself. I'm not really into the traditional Eastern meditation music and recorded mantras don't do it for me, psychedelic music from the late 60's and early 70's resonate with me more. I listen to a lot of 70's Prog Rock and love the dark moog synth sounds of bands like Pink Floyd, Goblin, Yes, Gentle Giant, King Crimson and Gong, Gong does have an eastern influence but not as prominent, that I can handle. I was wondering if anyone knows of any meditation music out there I could download that would resemble the rich and haunting sound of these types of bands. I have made a play list with all the best songs from these groups that affect me the most, although these songs get a bit hectic sometimes and distract me in my meditations, I wish I was able to make my own mix by dissecting some of these songs and just stretching out some of the musical parts. Unfortunately I don't know how to use the programs that would enable me to do this.
Also I love nature sounds, the sound of rain, wind through the trees, rivers. If anyone knows of any music that incorporates all of these elements it would make me very happy.
Thank you!
