New here and got Level 10 and love it
Hi,
I'm Paul. 56 years old living in Knoxville TN. I am a long time meditator having been involved with Siddha Meditation, Zen, Vipassana etc.
A Sufi teacher friend of mine told me a friend of his had great success with Holosync so he referred me to the website. He said the price was right but I might have to invest in headphones. I don't think he realized you have to keep buying more and more discs.
I stumbled on the lifeflow before pushing the button to buy the Holosync. I got the lifeflow sample d and loved it. The sample was great. Later I tried the Level 10 as I went to sleep. This morning I did Level 10 again and it was very very good. I was basically in bliss for the whole session and I ended up using the 40 minutes twice I liked it so much.
I don't know if it was because of the binaural or if it was the actual ambient sounds because I love the sounds on the Level 10.
When I was a kid about ten years old, I used to deliver papers and there was a stream with white water at the end of my paper route and I used to listen to that stream and it would put me into Nirvana. Since then white noise has been helpful to me. I like the sound of the lifeflow disc and was able to go very deep using level 10. I am a seasoned meditator and I think the lifeflow just makes it even so much easier.
I was really like... this thing is so WOW!
Thanks,
Paul

Hi! I am new too, and just perusing the forums, looking for tips and experiences. I also wandered over after checking out Holosync. I am 52, and have not meditated before, but have been interested in it for years. It always seemed like it would be too hard to approach, but with these programs, it seems approachable. I thought this one looked like the better program, and am really glad to hear positive feedback from an experienced meditator. We downloaded the 14 minute sample, and have been listening to that once or twice a day, and my husband ordered the discs, so we are waiting for them to arrive. I am going to go through the 'Discover Meditation' course, and would be happy to hear any tips for a newby, as you progress through the program.

Hi Paul,
Glad you've found such benefit, even though you're an experienced meditator. Out of interest, did you try any holosync samples as well? (I haven't myself).
Hi Mary Beth and welcome to the Project Meditation community,
There's all sorts of 'tips' people could give, but the main thing I think is that you go through the discover meditation course, listen to Michael's instructions and have a go, and then ask us any specific questions you have. There are people here who practice different forms of meditation and some of us (myself included) who practice the same style Michael teaches, so there's lots of good advice to be had, but there's no need for us to presuppose what questions you may have and offer lots of varying information.
Let us know how you get on.
Hugs
Giles

No I have not tried the holosync but I did try that software program Neuro Programmer 3 and also SBaGen just a little, but have not really checked them out much. I don't want to get into programming stuff but the price sure is right on those.
I am expecting the holosync sample in the mail but not too excited about trying it because from my understanding (what I have read) is that it is pretty much all advertising.
I have been using lifeflow a couple times a day for the whole week and have been feeling pretty good. I will say though it seems that it is not as effective as it was when I got it but it may be me just going through some stuff. It works ok and I do meditate but when it was new, maybe because it was new to me, I was really totally focused on it and found it easy to be totally focused and consequently I went real deep and got a ton of bliss. I still like the lifeflow but not as much as when I got it. Seems like after a week, I am ready for the next level or I can keep practicing with this.
I do mantra with it and or sensing the body. Sensing the body as in Open Focus using the Open Focus training of Les Fehmi (which I recommend). Open focus is about meditating on space in the body.
