Default LifeFlow Questions

I want to try LifeFlow but I have a few concerns/questions that if they were answered would help me greatly.

1) I'm concerned that if I meditate using LifeFlow, as opposed to just normally meditating without listening to anything, then I'm gaining the benefits from meditation in an "unnatural" way that could end up being bad for me.

2) I'm also concerned that if I try LifeFlow and I do love it and use it a lot, will I have trouble meditating in the future without it?

Thanks a lot

Hi there and welcome to the community

Here are a couple of links that will answer your questions:-

There are lots of other very useful links but I don't want to overload you with more right now. If you have anymore questions, please ask away and I wish you much peace and joy

Consider it like this...

The brain gets a lot of information as we grow that causes it to act in certain ways in response to certain things. These are learnt responses. But they're not necessarily a good thing, especially if those learnt responses are 'issues' that cause us pain in some way, even when the original cause of those things is no longer with us. There's nothing unnatural about wanting to change the way you think, such as when you say "I'm going to be more happy today", and Lifeflow just helps facilitate that thinking process.

2) I'm also concerned that if I try LifeFlow and I do love it and use it a lot, will I have trouble meditating in the future without it?
No, there's nothing to stop you meditating without lifeflow. It's not like some addictive drug. I meditate with it and without it quite easily.

Hugs

Giles

thanks for the replies!

I just have one more question. Can I listen to it without headphones and still get the full effects?

on this page: What Exactly Is LifeFlow & What Can It Do For You?

it says you don't need headphones, but when I downloaded the demo, on the demo page was a picture saying this:

thanks

Hi Sandcastle...

Yes, the accent is on "full" effect. There are three different kinds of beats in Lifeflow. One of them -- the "heartbeat" you hear with headphones -- requires total seperation of the two channels. So it can only be experienced using headphones. The other two types work fine with speakers.

So, some people like to use the tracks both ways. Personally, I always use headphones during meditation, but often play the tracks on speakers when I'm just relaxing or reading.

And, yes, to answer your other question, I also meditate without using Lifeflow sometimes. It is not addictive, in that sense.

Hope this helps...
