What would you do to attract a certain type of life?
Let's just say I want to attract a life... for this example I will list a few things I would like...
-Financial Freedom (to work for myself and earn a very good living)
- a beautiful wife who I am very compatible with.
- Great Health
- To be more confident
Ok these are just a few things off the top of my head, pretty standard stuff that a lot of people would probably like. ( I am already in good health but would like that to continue)
So I know what I want, what do I do now to attract it...
If i just visualize myself with these things for 30 minutes before bed every-night, and create an affirmation to recite during the day, is that enough?
How often should i recite an affirmation?
How specific should I get?
Do I focus on just one thing at a time? Or do I focus on the entire lifestyle I want?
I am new to LOA so any examples of what you would do to achieve your goals would be very helpful.
Thanks!

Hi Hankhill and welcome to the Project Meditation community,
That's certainly enough to keep those things in the unconscious minds attention (which is where the LOA will work from).
It sounds as though you already know what is needed to make it work. I think it's fine to focus on the whole lifestyle as a package, and you'll likely find things come along as necessary to help get towards that lifestyle, maybe not everything at once, but in time it'll get there.
Ensure your affirmations are in the present tense as if you already have them as the unconscious mind doesn't activate well on things considered to be in the future, and keep them realistic and know what the meaning of each thing you're affirming is i.e. Don't say "I am a multi-billionaire" unless that's realistic for your current position, but likewise if you use "I have financial freedom" then know what "financial freedom" means clearly to you i.e. "free of my credit card debts, mortage and bringing in a good salary each month".
Hugs
Giles

Hi Hankhill, here's a link to a post from 2007 which explains how I literally went from rags to riches:-
The law of attraction
Here's another link explaining how I achieved this:-
Pollyanna et al - A question on specific dates
I definately would have used Creative Flow, LifeFlow meditation and the gratitude exercise to speed up the process if I had known about them because I knew the thing that was missing was being able to meditate. Meditation allows you to rest in the vibrantly aware stillness, allowing creativity to flow. To read more about these beneficial states, click on the following link:-
Brainwave States
I hope the above links are helpful to you and wish you an abundance of peace and joy

Is it important to be very specific as far as like, what date I want to achieve my goals by? and how much exactly I want to make?

From most of what I have read on LOA, dont you have to just ask, visualize for a few minutes with true belief that you will recieve what you are asking for, and then let it go?
If I was to keep visualising my ideal house and pace every day, would that not just stay a dream, a wish?
any advice welcome

Certainly, being specific, as long as it's realistic, is important.

Master the Art of Attracting Abundance
Let’s face it! The Art of Attracting Abundance is all about positive emotions. There is no place for negativity when you are trying to manifest your desires using the Law of Attraction. To attract abundance there are certain true but quite easy to follow principles you must keep in your heart and in your mind for you to be able to succeed.
One of these principles is to have a burning desire towards the achievement of your goal. If your goal is to become wealthy, have a burning desire for its achievement. If your goal is to become successful in your chosen path, have a burning desire towards its achievement. Once you are set, live your life as if your dream has already been fulfilled.
The reason why it is called the Art of Attracting Abundance is because you have to like and enjoy what you do, and take pride in it. It is something that when mastered rewards you with the ability to manifest your desires at the unconscious competence level. When you perform the art of attracting abundance at the unconscious competence level, you are attracting your desire to you almost effortlessly, just like how you learned to tie your shoes.

Hi again Hankhill,
"A goal is a dream with a date on it" is how I work in business. Goals are in concrete but the plans are in sand. For example if I set achievable and believable (to me) monthly income goals I believe like it all depends on God or the universe and I act like it all depends on me.
I visualise it happening and work out a plan to achieve the results. As I work my plan, I check every now and again within the month if I am on track for reaching my target. If I'm on target, I just keep on doing what I'm doing and if I'm falling short of my target, then I'll alter the plan.
There's always a worthwhile reward for me when I achieve the goal and I always take the reward (this is very important)
I always take the time out to do LF because it really helps me focus more, clears my head and allows answers that I need to surface.
I totally believe that what we focus on and think about mostly, we bring about. As Dennis Waitley says "If you go there in the mind, you will go there in the body. When we are really focused we become like a heat seeking missile towards our target.
Hope this helps and I wish you much peace and joy
