Default A Changed Life

On May 22nd of this year, my life changed completely. My husband passed away that day. He left no life insurance.

Within ten days of his death, my adult grandson who had been renting rooms from us, decided that he was moving in with his girlfriend and left with no notice, taking my 3 great-grandchildren with him.

Within a week after that, my only vehicle was repossessed, not because the payments were behind, but because the car and the loan were in my husband's name only. The payments were current, but since I had named them in the medical bankruptcy I filed in 2005, I could not be held responsible for the payments, so rather than wait for them to fall behind, they came without any notice and took the car.

So here I was, less than 3 weeks after my husband's death and I had no car, no help and my income had been reduced by more than $24,000 a year. I was discouraged, defeated and deflated.

And then, I made the decision to change my life.

I went in search of "something", knowing not what I was searching for, but trusting that when I found it, I'd know it.

That's when I found Project Meditation and Life Flow.

Then I came to this community forum and found all sorts of helpful suggestions as to materials and practices that could be incorporated into my life.

So, I bought The Secret (book and movie). I then downloaded several e-books (Happy Pocketful of Money, The Master Key, The Science of Getting Rich, etc.). Then I found references to EFT, so I read up on it and obtained the manual as well as purchasing some tapping tapes.

My husband was a hoarder. I don't know if you are familiar with hoarding, but it is a disorder which causes a person to become unable to throw anything away. Our house had been a cluttered disaster area for nearly 5 years.

Since I made the decision to change my life and to actually incorporate the suggestions and practices I read about in concert with daily Life Flow meditation, my life has COMPLETELY changed.

First, I began cleaning out rooms in our home. This is still a work in progress, but I now have a beautiful bedroom and bathroom. By the end of July, the entire house will be beautifully uncluttered and open to receiving the abundance that is mine.

Meditating has re-focused my intentions and brought me an inner quiet and peace that I had not experienced in over 20 years.

I'm re-charged with energy and my outlook is one of glorious expectation.

I have also come to the realization that the Universe has used my husband's passing and my grandson's leaving to my benefit. Had neither of these things happened, it is highly doubtful that I would be living the life I am now living. Meditation would have been extremely difficult with 3 children under the age of 4 in the house. Being my husband's primary care giver, while something I actually loved doing, drained most of the energy I had remaining after working all day. So, I believe the Universe was conspiring in my favor.

Because of my husband's illness, I had been unable to devote more than 10-20 hours a week to my commission only job and thus, I had not earned anything over my weekly draw against those commissions since January. In fact, as of 5/22, I was $5000 in the hole to my company.

By last week, I had not only earned enough to pay the company back the $5000 in draw debt but also, I received my first check in excess of my weekly draw. In fact, it was TWICE what I would have normally taken home.

This coming Thursday, I'll have a check that will be three to four times what I would normally take home from my draw.

And, the beautiful thing.....this is JUST the beginning!!!!

Thank you Michael and thank you to each and every one of you who take the time to be active in this community, giving advice and suggestions to those of us who are looking for a better way.

I can't wait to see what next week brings!!!!

Smile Great Post Nanette... Thank you for sharing a part of you life!

I guess we all have stories of extremely painful events, but I think relatively few individuals actually use these opportunities to "turn our lives around'. And fewer still share these experiences.

Thank you for taking the time to share your life story which is in progress.

Please keep us updated.

Thank you!

What a wonderfully positive story. I hope I can straighten my life out as well as you have.

I seem to have become more organized and uncluttered as I have gone through the meditational tapes. I want to get a decent paying second job or for my company to give me a good raise but I don't really see them doing that.

Oh, I really wish I were more positive about everything, I'm not sure how to get there.

You have to make a decision to be more positive about everything. The key is in your own thought processes. You have to make a choice to allow only positive thoughts and if those types of thoughts do not flow automatically or smoothly for you, then you have to take control and decide what you are going to allow your mind to think, focus on, feel and believe.

Above you said:

Instead of thinking in this manner, try thinking in this way:

I AM performing so well at work and benefitting my company in so many ways that they are giving me a huge raise!

It is important to remember that we do actually create our reality. Our present is the sum of our thoughts, feelings and beliefs of our past. At any moment in our lives we can make the decision to create a new, positive, incredible life, but only we can create it.

If you haven't read The Secret or seen the DVD, please do. Also, I can highly recommend the book "A Happy Pocket Full of Money". Not only does it thoroughly cover wealth consciousness but also, it gives you detailed action steps to take to start changing your thoughts and thus, your life.

I know you are going to totally change your life and I can't wait to hear about your progress!!

Thank you! I do have the book, The Secret. I got it from my sister for Christmas.

I will look for the other book you recommend. I read a lot about positive change and I am a big Eckhart Tolle fan. I read the book and did all of the classes, I practice being present, still, and aware. I have a little trouble feeling as I visualize and I know I have to do this.

I started visualizing and practicing manifestation after reading The Secret and it seemed to be working, I won $200 in the lottery and then $500 which all went for bills, got me out of trouble. Still the doubt that I was actually manifesting began to creep in... I'm such a weirdo...

Thanks for the postive feedback, I will really follow up. Stay in touch on these threads, you are really helpful.

Default Thank you Nanette!

Thank you Nanette for sharing your story and your experience with Life Flow! It is so empowering and motivating to read positive posts. It helps me a lot as like a lot of people (well, probably everyone!) in this community forum I am trying to improve different areas of my life and to become more positive, loving and self-confident.

One area where I struggle a bit is my financial situation, more precisely my mindset towards money. I am not poor, but I am not rich either. I don’t actually aspire to become rich, it is not a dream. I just feel that I’d like to have a good salary like everyone in order not to worry, being able to put a bit of money on the side, doing activities I‘d like, going on holiday…At the moment, I am ok moneywise but I always need to be careful with my money. Sometimes I do worry and think that if something was gonna happen, I would struggle, or I think that if for example I was gonna have a baby soon, that would be difficult to pay everything.

My point is that I’ve always felt that I don’t deserve to earn a lot of money. I am trying to change my thought process though, and I practice positive thinking everyday. Do you think Nanette, or anyone who has any suggestion, that I can fight my negative mindset about money by repeating positive affirmations despite the fact of being aware that I feel I don’t deserve earning a lot of money? Or do I need for example to go deeper and see for example a hypnotherapist or psychiatrist to know the root of this feeling of not deserving money? I think that I’ve made a big step by bringing this feeling into my consciousness but it’s just weird to repeat something where a part of myself believes that I will always earn a small salary.

Lots of love,

Hirinaki

Hi Hirinaki! It is very nice to meet you!

Before I ask you to look at something else you wrote, I wanted to answer this part of your question.

For your money blocks, I'm going to highly recommend you study EFT. EFT is a combination of acupressure and NLP and is highly effective. You can find tapes regarding removing money blocks at Tap into Heaven and other places, just do a search for EFT and Money Issues. I've personally used the Tap into Heaven tapes, so I can tell you they are effective.

I personally used EFT to overcome a habit of procrastination (my personal form of self-sabotage), and thus far (2 weeks later), the change is complete and appears to be permanent.

I find that I tap daily, just like I meditate daily and the combination has been very effective for me.

Now..about that other thing....

Please really take a look at what you just wrote. I know you are just trying to explain your situation, believe me I understand that. I'd just like to encourage you to be free of money blocks in the present moment. You've made so many self-limiting statements above and it is a reflection of how you are truly thinking.

A powerful part of the manifestation process is our state of being. Have you ever felt really unhappy but made a conscious decision to be happy? I think we've all done that. And isn't it amazing, that you can shift your state of being from being unhappy to being happy just by deciding to do it?

You can do the same with wealth (money is a representation of wealth, it is not wealth itself because wealth is a state of being, just like happiness is). You can decide to practice a wealthy state of being. Since it is a state of being, it is yours to personally experience and therefore, the scale of what you feel is wealth will be your own individual perception of what that means. Don't think about it, just trust that you KNOW what wealth means to you and then decide to adopt a wealth state of being.

In the book, Happy Pocket Full of Money, there's a great chapter on wealth consciousness you might find very interesting.

In the meantime, check out EFT, I'd be very surprised if you didn't find it to be very helpful.

Nanette

Hi Nanette! Thank you very much for taking the time to answer me! I really appreciate.

I've made some research about EFT and it seems to be amazing! I've got a big interest in energy work at the moment, healing and spiritual anatomy so it seems that Emotional Freedom Techniques comes into my life at the right time! Thank you so much Nanette! (and the Universe!) I am really looking forward to studying this technique more closely.

Getting rid of money blocks, and other blocks (I've got a few issues too with procrastination!) is gonna be my next challenge!

Thanks Nanette!

Thumbs up

Hey Hirinaki,
Copied a little bit of one of your earlier posts to help you remember how you can feel:-
"This community is just bliss in my life at the moment and I don't know if it's meditation or reading "self help" books or watching The Secret, being surrounded by positive people at work, or all of it, but I do feel more positive. I really want to approach life in a positive way and focus on things that I want. I even feel more energised at work at the moment and complain much less than I used too, actually I'm not really complaining anymore...Yes!!! It's so unnecessary and doesn't make things move on. Anyway, there are things going on at the moment for me and I'm happy!"

I had amazing, loving parents but I was brought up in a poor working class family hearing that money doesn't grow on trees etc. We never had much money - in fact I came home one day to find a jar of pickles on the table and thought we were rich We develop belief systems and one of mine was that it was wrong to want money I was also a catholic and used to strongly believe that if you were rich you probably wouldn't get into heaven That was probably the most difficult illusion to overcome for me (I didn't know how to meditate then and believed that my belief patterns were the truth ) My belief systems have no resemblance whatsoever to what they used to be. If like I did you can immerse yourself in good self help books, do the gratitude exercise daily, carry a gratitude rock around with you and associate with as many positive thinking people as you can, enjoy LifeFlow and leave newspapers and most of the news and what's on T.V. alone (for at least a while, because it's mostly disturbing drama, rubbish or gossip) you will change your belief systems also. You are worthy of abundance as is everyone. I think the secret is being happy and content with what you have and setting goals then becomes fun yet it doesn't take over your life. Hirinaki I believe you can truly be, do and have anything you choose. You have within you the great power to change anything you choose. I look forward to hearing about your continued progress and wish you joy and happiness on your continuing amazing journey of self discovery

P.S. 97% of what people worry about never happens - it just wastes energy and creates much stress and unhappiness. I read this years ago in a book called "How to stop worrying and start living" I think it's by Dale Carnegie. You can probably borrow it from your local library.
