I understand what you're saying Pmaia, but I also got to say that you haven't really comprehended the whole law of attraction thing.
You have to touch into spiritual aspect. The
law of attraction also mentions recarnation process and how your thoughts before you are born influcence what you might receive as a child. It goes a little bit against my spiritual belief, but mostly it goes along. And I leave spaces where I am yet to comprehend.
I have tried this method in Japan which I learned from my
Yoga teacher way before I encoutered the phrase "law of attraction" in U.S. And it kind of clicked, like, oh this is what it was about. You don't have to believe in this, and other ways of seeing things work totally the same if you ask me (i.e., if you listened to
Joel Osteen, the Christian preacher, he recommends the almost same tactics, just in the name of Jesus).
I say, just try it. I didn't really believe in it either until my friends manifested things and I manifested things myself.
And, no, I haven't achieved everything I wish for. But what is life for if we could get everything we wish for in instance? According to my spiritual belief, that's what happens when you go up there. But in this world, we are meant to struggle to achieve what we want, and there is growth within the process. So I would take the steps light hearted. I have manifested some things, and I want to be better at it. I am hoping that meditation will do a part.
By the way, various books on
law of attraction mention that being rich is not selfish, because there are abundance in this world and you don't take something away from other people for you to get rich. You can be rich and be able to treat your family and friends all the time, regularly donate tons of money to good charities and so on. Some book (i.e., the one titiled "creative visualization") said that until you take those misunderstood guilt away from you, it would be difficult for you to manifest things.
I also encountered this idea from one of the people who appeared on Secret (Marci someone, sorry can't remember from top of my head, i'll spell it correctly if anyone wishes): The best use of law of attraction is to attract the feeling of happiness. This author who achieved everything you could hope for through law of attraction found herself still not completely happy, and she realized that best of law of attaction is to attract happiness itself. Then, she states, you can become "happy without a reason." I really like that idea. Those of you who read my comment this far, would you mind sharing your ideas on that?
Thanks to all of you who contribute to these discussions!
