Default How much is too much?

For the past few weeks I have really started to embrace the process of meditation, visualization, and affirmations daily to create the life that I desire.

My question really refers to the visualization aspect of the aforementioned trio. I have read some people saying that the idea is to visualize a few times a day for a set amount of time, making the goal as clear as possible in the mind, and feeling what it feels like to have already achieved this goal. Some of these people, however, then suggest the goal is to let go of that image and release it into the universe so that it can manifest.

I have been doing the visualizations strongly and have noticed a few things, namely that I am not letting go of the images that I want to manifest. It has gotten to the point where my goals are on a near constant loop, or if I have a moment of doubt my mind immediately plays out the desired image in my mind to remind myself that it is on its way. It is not at all unpleasant. I have slowly started to see signs of my goal manifesting, but is there really a need to let go of the images, or is the whole point to make your subconscious mind become your conscious reality?

Hi MetaCognition, here is a link which explains what I have done to achieve the life I wanted:-

Pollyanna et al - A question on specific dates

I believe that by visualising and feeling emotionally how you want life to be as though it already has happened, you prepare yourself to be in the right state for this desire. When you then act upon ideas or hunches that come to you (which you would probably overlook or filter out if you were not focused) then, you can have the life you desire.

With practise, you develop an unwavering belief and with flaming enthusiasm and absolute determination, you can achieve what many think is the "impossible"

I hope this is of help to you and wish you great success

Hi Meta,

I, too, find the idea that we are supposed to get emotionally charged during our visualizations contradictory to the idea that we must let go of our desires.

It's natural to have desire, its a part of being human. Without them we would not have the passion to move forward and deliberately create our life. I think the subconscious conflict arises when we are focused on one specific outcome.

When you are trying to manifest a mate and focus on one human being, you are in a considerably different vibration then when you focus on a mate in general, as an example.

When we let go of specific outcomes, and visual the future in terms of experiences we would like to happen, we open ourselves up to a vast array of possibilities.

To me, the point of visualizing is to get emotionally charged with passion and purpose, picturing the life of our dreams. Then, allow the universe to go to work, follow our intuition, and allow the wonder to unfold.

Maybe we are destined for the exact life we picture, or maybe something better is in store for us. Either way, it is an exciting proposition.
