Default LF 10 - What is that hover every couple of Minutes?

Hi,

I'm new to this community an this is my first post.

I have a question concerning Life Flow 10. What is that "hover" that appears every couple of minutes? Is it a mistake on my download? I have the feeling, it gets me out of my meditation-state an I have to think of a cleaning woman, that came in while recording the track.

Thanks for your answer.
Cheers,
Lore

Dear Lore,

I suspect you mean the somewhat strange wind-like sound that goes from one ear to another ?
I have no idea what it is, only LF10 has this. It's not that annoying to me, and as I understand it is a vital part of LF10. Maybe you have your base set too strong on your stereo ? if you are able to turn that down, it won't be as annoying I hope.

Hi Edwin,

thanks for your answer. I don't mean the sound that goes from one ear to another. On my download, there ist a sound that appears every few minutes only for a short time, that - to me - sounds like a hover. After some time without, it then comes up again. Does noone else hear this sound? Maybe it's a download mistake? Or do you now understand what I mean?

Cheers
Lore

Hi Lore
I'm not sure what sound you mean but I find there's a chord (from a synthesizer probably - a triad or diad) that comes every few minutes which jars me out of a deeper state. It's louder than the rest of the track. What I do is turn the sound way down so it's not so noticeable. Hopefully the other LF tracks don't have this sound. Personally I would be happy to have just the sound of the water and wind!

It may have to do with the sound settings of your stereo or music player. I have never heard this. I doubt that the download could "mess up" the mp3 file this way. If the download is incorrect or incomplete, the mp3 file will simply not play.

I think the only advice I can give is what I did with LifeFlow 5, which simply didn't "do" it for me:

I skipped it

Instead of feeling annoyed for a month or 2, I went streight to the next one and doubled the using period to 2-4 months.

You see, every next level of LF is there to make your mind get used to a slightly deeper level. The recommendation of using a track for 1-2 months before going to the next one is simply because this is just about the normal time your mind would need to adjust to a deeper level.

Every other level of LF has a unique sound, ranging from simply running water with wind-chimes, bubbles with whale songs, a thunderstorm, waves upon a beach, and so on.

I have heard more people being somewhat "annoyed" from the sound of LF10... Strange because I think it is brilliant in it's simplicity.
Maybe it is true what they say; that we are all different

Thanks for your answers. I think its the sound Bhavya talks about. I'll try to modify the settings of my stereo.

what is the time stamp when you first hear this sound? if we knew the exact moment you first hear this maybe someone could identify what it was. i hear water, crickets, a bird, a white noise that goes back and forth from side to side, wind chimes, something that sounds like a tibetan bell and i think maybe a soft heart beat but i could be imaging that. nothing else that i can identify.

That's a good way to identify it Grey.
Lore, my sound is at 1:05, 4:43 ( a loud one) and so on throughout.
Since I'm listening on IPod, the only control I have over sound is volume.

I'm happy that I received LF 9 today which I'll try tonight...hopefully this sound won't be there!

Bhavya

Thanks for asking Edwin. I like the entrainment better. I'm able to go deeper with LF 9 but I still have to turn the sound way down. Otherwise my mind latches on to the piano track which repeats.... Perhaps because I play the piano myself I'm quite sensitive to any melody. And of course I realize that it's also my own resistance. Still, I really wish I could make my own sound track. I would put in that lovely sound of water and just have natural sounds, way off in the distance - the wind etc.... Ah well.. I'm still grateful for what I do have - grateful for the good that LF brings.
