Default Private messages

Hi

Just wondering if this site has the ability to send users private messages or emails?

Hi Anglepen,

The vBulletin software used for the forums does support PM's, but it's clearly been disabled by the admin. We've asked before if it could be enabled for people (especially once they come off initial moderation) but nothing ever came of it. Would be nice to be able to contact each other.

Hugs

Giles

Ah I see, 'tis a shame as I would like to contact a member personally.

Ho-hum, never mind

Thanks Giles

Be happy
Kev

I think this done it the right way would be really interesting, also I think it would be excellent to be able to have group chat/discussions in real time.

Can one of the support guys/gals explain the reasoning for having the facility disabled?

I don't think vBulletin supports real-time chat room stuff. For that you need something like chatzy.com or suchlike.

Bit of a shame but no great shakes. Sometimes its nice to get different viewpoints as a subject is discussed, although the forum is just an asychronous version of real time chat in that context I guess.
