Default Welcome Paul

Try right click "save as" and if adobe still tries to take over try it through a different browser:

IE
Firefox

etc.

Sounds to me like adobe is taking over your downloads, you need to bypass there over helpfulness. PW

Hi Paul,

First thing to check is that the file you have downloaded has the extension ".zip" if its anything else then rename it to ".zip".

Assuming it is a a zip file (which it should be) you need to change the program that opens it from adobe to winzip, winrar or compressed (zipped) folders. WinZip and winRAR are both free trial software but compressed (zipped) folders comes with windows.

To change the program that open zip files try this:

right click the zip file.
click Properties.
click the "change" button.

then select either of the programs above if you have them.

Assuming your on windows then you should definetly have the compressed one.

This will change the program that opens zip files to the one you choose.

once you are done try opening it up again.

Hope this helps

Not having much luck with this. When I right click zip file then properties 'change' is not one of the options available.

Thats odd....

What if you right click and use "open with" ( should be choices there )

PW

Just re-read your first post....

I'm guessing you havent been able to download the course yet.

The suggestions above where for if you have been able to download but not been able to open the zip file.

I Will see if I can find another soution for you.

The best I can come up with is to try one of the free versions of a unzipping utility.

winRar - click here

if your on windows download the one at the top called winRAR 3.71.

(thats if you can and you dont have the same issue downloding it)

It should change the file association from "adobe".

If you can't download it because of the same reason then I would suggest updating the version of Adobe Reader you have to the latest version and that might solve the issue also.

In fact I would try updating adobe first.

Hope that helps
