Welcome to the community jueA

Meditation helps us to gradually release backlogs of stress and suppressed emotions. In order to do this, suppressed emotions will at some point be brought to the surface during or outside of meditation to allow them to be released.

If we let ourselves look inwards with a lack of involvement, this will enable us to observe our individual patterns of resistance.

Usually, when you feel irritable and restless or sorrowful during or outside of meditation, it means you are resisting something. It isnít the actual suppressed emotion that is making you feel like this; it is the resistance itself that is causing the discomfort.

Whenever you experience this feeling of deep sorrow, if you let yourself look inward with a lack of involvement, this will enable you to observe your individual pattern of resistance. Observe only the sensation within your body - this may be a tigthening feeling in your stomach, a lump in your throat or some other feeling of discomfort.

The solution to resisting is to simply and unemotionally accept, welcome and observe the feeling with unattached curiosity. Don't get carried away with the thoughts attached to the feeling or sensation. Just be aware of the sensation and watch it with great curiosity and indifference. When you consciously and calmly observe anything that does not serve you well it will begin to dissipate.

I have done this on many occasions and the freedom it brings to you is truly amazing. I hope this is of help and wish you much peace and joy

I can relate to this situation, though I always tell to myself I am strong, but there would be times that I feel down and sometimes "useless" that can made me sad, but I don't cry every night. Sometimes, I cry to ease the pain I feel. Though meditation really helps, somehow it ease and clears my weary mind.
