This an old post which I just happened to stumble upon. But I must say that I love the water sounds, and often move into and out of them during meditation. I forget them for long stretches, but when my attention returns to them, it is always as a very welcome "friend".
Also, as a stroke victim getting over a dizziness problem, I sometimes visualize the water as washing over, into, through my brain...and healing it. Must say that it seems very effective.
