I would like to share the idea that instead of thinking about, visualizing, and/or writing about what you want, i.e., “I want X,” it might be helpful to rephrase the “want,” stating instead, “I am ready for X,” “I am open to X,” “I am in the process of receiving X,” “I trust that X is part of my reality,” etc. On one particular blog of which I’m a member, Channeling Erik, Erik shares that if you phrasing your statements as being in a state of “wanting,” then that is what you will receive, being always “wanting” of X vs. having or achieving X. Likewise with “trying.” I am open to/ready for/in the process of” doing something vs. I am “trying to” X. To be on the safe side, I steer clear of “wanting” and “trying” when I visualize and/or make affirmations and/or goal statements.
