When it comes to stress management, the keyword is meditation. We are all stressed out from time to time about one thing or another. Some of us tend to hold our stress and eventually that can have adverse affects on the body. Eventually, you’ll end up having to seek medical treatment for something that is well within your capabilities of managing long before that is necessary. If you are suffering the effects of stress, the following are some easy relaxation techniques to help you and your body rid the problem.

Meditation is a word that we’ve all become familiar with of late. It has become quite popular as a means of handling stress. It has done that because it works. There are several easy meditation techniques that you can try. Using the most comfortable technique for you will bring your stress levels down and your enjoyment of life up. You will be a healthier and happier person when finding the most beneficial easy relaxation technique.

Candle Meditation - If you sit in a cross legged or “lotus” position directly in front of a lit candle and stare only at the flame, eventually all of your thought and concentration will be on that flame, your stress will be released by your deep concentration and rumination of the flame.

Imagery - Similar to candle meditation, in imagery meditation, you focus all of your energies on some image in your mind. It may be a place you’ve been or a place you’d like to go, it may be a person, it may be a painting. The important thing is that there is no stress associated with this image. You concentrate only on this image and feel yourself leaving your stresses behind and entering this “place” in your mind.

Breathing - In this technique, your one and only focus is on your breathing pattern. You may be breathing from your belly; you may be breathing from your core. You will focus on your breathing. Your energies will be concentrated on breathing in the good, stress-free energies and breathing out the stresses that you feel.

Mantra - With a mantra, you find a word or phrase that you quietly, either in your mind or physically with words, repeat. Your concentration is on this one repeated phrase. You ruminate over this one word or words and your stresses are released through the focus on only this.

Any of these techniques will help you to achieve a happier, stress-free core. You only need to choose which of these easy relaxation techniques will be more comfortable for you to use. The healthy results of a stress free life are right around the corner.
