Spirit MeditationFor the human spirit meditation and the desire to want to practice begins the very moment you give consideration to the real significance of being! When you think of spiritual meditation, also known as dynamic meditation, the name Osho springs to mind. Being one of the best known spirit meditation teachers of the twentieth century, Osho’s teachings, more than a decade after his death in 1990 continues to grow. Osho was born in the 1930s in India and taught meditation as not just a practice but as a way of life connecting on a higher level with God. In 1974 he established a centre for spiritual meditation and self discovery. The purpose being an experiment in hope of creating the setting for the birth of a “New Man”, upon reflection, liberating all old-fashioned ideologies and out dated doctrines. Osho’s teachings of spirit meditation today are widely acknowledged and successful worldwide, offering immense benefits to those who through consideration and contemplation go on to practice. However his uncompromising approach was often misunderstood and challenged during his lifetime as he thrived on controversy. He was known to make all kinds of outrageous statements getting many people worked up. It perhaps turned out that these people were not ready for his wisdom at that time. The messenger was getting shot (so to speak), but the message wasn’t even being heard. Today the messenger isn’t here and people are now listening with intent to his message. |

A spiritual meditation is said to be when we give deliberation on focusing our undivided attention on spirit. During the spiritual state of rumination it is believed to be possible to receive god’s words. When we pray to God, we are talking and God listens. Meditation of the spirit is one of the most relaxing, most spiritually rewarding acts a human mind can indulge in. The more we practice meditation, the stronger our bond becomes with our Spirit.
