Meditation Bells

You will find meditation bells in many shapes and sizes and they carry a distinctive tone when struck. Meditation bells can be used by individual meditation practitioners or by a meditation group to signal the beginning or the end of a meditation session. They also make a nice singing bowl by rubbing the sides with the striker.

Playing meditation bells typically causes an immediate centering effect. The tones set up a frequency following response that creates a harmonizing, left/right brain synchronization. Meditating on the subtle sounds of the Tibetan singing bowls or meditation bells, tunes one in to the universal sound within and without.

Meditation bells are not only hand held ringing bells, they can be found within items such as alarm clocks, doorbells and even as a phone bell.

The use of meditation bells sound in an alarm clock is to gradually wake you up beautifully and not annoyingly like an every day alarm clock.

The use is similar when used in a door bell. When the door bell is rung it emits a calming and soothing sound which can be adjusted over a wide range from soft to loud making answering the door all the more pleasant.

And finally a meditation bell can be used to add a new dimension to answering the phone. The meditation bell within phone ringers is set to go off at the same interval as a normal phone ringer but emits the soothing sounds of a meditation bell putting you in a more relaxed frame of mind when answering the phone.
