I miss to read from Ta Tsu Wa, Edwin, Itlandm, Midnight, and all the others. Giles and Polly are still kinda active at least. :)

Whats going on? How is life? Will we happily meet each other on another plane? Tell us storys about the crazy life on earth? How could we forget so much things and live in this tiny body! Will we laugh for eternety about it?

    I hope so. :)

    Heya Pan! :D

Well, I still see yourself and Edwin actively going about life on Facebook.
Not sure about the others though.
Like many fora, people come and go, often saying what they need to say and moving on, knowing their words will always be there still for people to read (why say more than is needed eh?)

I think also, with the changes in social media, people are moving away more from these type of fora. I've seen it on other fora too, though it's a shame because the structure of these types of discussions are good for the long term.

    ;)

Hm could be true, the social media thing. Though there are many very active boards as well... anyway, maybe some day all the others see this post and share their facebook names. And then we create a meditation group. :D

The core community conversation seems to have slowly evaporated when compared to the nature of the posts a few years ago. I have been looking at "sustainable conversations" a lot lately within other contexts. It seems that the energy that sustains community conversations needs a few important aspects to them.

The challenge in this space is having conversations that span beginners through to advanced practitioners. So too is the willingness of participants to share, so it becomes much more than a Q&A forum.

I still visit every day, but have found my contributions have slowed. My meditation practice however continues each day as does my use of the Lifeflow tools although their role has evolved with my practice over a few years.

Sorry for not mentioning you olmate. one of the last active members. :)

I for myself dont use LF anymore since its causing the opposite of what it should. If i stop meditating for a few weeks, then i can do a session or two... but thats it. I thought it worked a while ago and posted here, but it didnt for long.

Anyway, this board has some really great wisdom hidden in some threads. Compared to Facebook & co its definitly easier to have conversations with several people, except if you make a group. So im not sure why everyone vanished...

    Pan,

Was the whole program worth it.? Why does it have the opposite of what it should now?

Well, i cant say if it was LF or meditation itself, but it was the best ive done in my life so far. After a few months of meditating with LF i felt like... free. Nothing was disturbing me, i was so calm inside and there was no fear at all. I was literally like a buddhist monk.

The thing is, LF & meditation will bring up hidden emotional issues. Which happend a lot to me and was fine, i actually enjoyed releasing old emotional energy. Until i suddenly couldnt do it anymore... meditating, especially with LF, greatly irritated me and made me nervous. I tried to go into that feeling countless times, with no success. Normaly i can just sit down and feel inside and wait until it shows... then i can release it. Not this time.

That mustve been about 2 years ago? Since then i tried and tried. Though i never reached that peak point with LF again, i was changed nevertheless and felt fine. Things got worse in the last months, irritation and grumpiness came back a bit.

---- So, id suggest anyone to try out LF and/or meditation, its the best tool ive ever encountered. The below is, whats actually going on with me right now. ----

Then i had this Journey (Brandon Bays if you want to google it) session, where i suddenly "before" the session had this fear of going blind. I have this fear since childhood and never found out where it came from. I have to say, i was nearly fear free for the last years. The story from the session was some of trust and power, which was at some point totaly destroyed. It was a very dense session and i had really trouble to get there... it was so blocked. I thought ok, that fear originated probably from another lifetime.

2 weeks later i suddenly got anxiety attacks while trying to fall asleep. Then i suddenly made the connection to my sexual abuse, many years ago and lasting about 10-12 years. Trust that got destroyed.... it overwhelmed me.

Atm im a nervous wreck. Tomorrow i have another appointment for a Journey session... hope i can go there and release it finally. This is probably exactly why i couldnt go on with meditation... i never faced this biggest part of my sexual abuse.

Will tell you guys, how it went... if you want. :)

    Hi Pan,

first let me just say that I cannot imagine what it must feel like to have to deal with sex abuse from the past for so long and because of your determination to move forward from this I'm sure you will succeed.

I have suffered in the past as we all have in a variety of ways and meditation has allowed me to realize how I created my own story, let go of the past, live in the moment and be free to make good choices now.

Now, here's something I believe to be of great importance and it's not particularly to do with meditation. Yes, meditation has helped me tremendously and I am so thankful for the incredible benefits I now enjoy. That being said, I searched for years to discover how to meditate because it seemed to be the missing key for me.

And that's what it actually was, a missing key. A key I found on my continuing journey of personal growth. A long time ago, I believed that "my story" was the truth - my glass was full and I didn't realize that I needed to pour out some water to allow more in.

I have discovered there are principles and values in life that when practiced daily, create an extraordinary life. Reading books and listening to audios that teach these principles and values are a part of my daily routine that I enjoy tremendously and will continue learning from them and teaching them for the rest of my life.

It took many, many years of gentle encouragement to inspire each of my children to read and listen to personal growth material and for me personally, this is my greatest achievement. Now they each have wonderful mentors to help them to live extraordinary lives. They understand that you don't just read through many books or listen to numerous audios and think you know it all. They understand that when you read or listen again and again that you learn at deeper levels until it finally penetrates and becomes a way of life by doing little actions and small disciples practiced every day.

I could go on and on forever here but there are people who are far more eloquent than I am to listen to Pan...

Different authors and speakers relate to different people, however, the Principles and Values for succeeding in many areas of your life, whether that is relationships, career, spiritual, financial etc. all remain the same.

Here's a link to someone I love to listen to and learn from every single day...

Jim Rohn Weekend Leadership Event 24 CDs & Workbook

If people listened to this set of audios alone, what an incredible difference it would make. What's more, if enough people "got it" it could create a most awesome, ongoing and never-ending thread here :D

Here's one last thing that may be of help to you Pan...

In my opinion, when there has been too much suffering from someone it may be impossible for you to personally forgive them. Here's what you can do though...

Each day for the next few weeks, find a quiet place, light a candle or tealight, close your eyes and visualize a white tent. Step into it with the person you may not be able to forgive - visualize seeing descriptive words of feelings that you experienced such as loss of trust, anxiety, guilt, shame, anger etc. and then visualize the white tent floating to a greater power that can forgive anything and everything for you. Perhaps a greater power for you is the Universe or God or something else. Whatever power you believe in, pass it on to them. Leave the candle to burn (in a safe place) don't blow it out. You may find that your visualization changes from day to day and that's ok.

I hope this helps Pan and as always, I wish you an abundance of peace and joy :) :) :)

Thanks Polly, you got a point here... i read millions of books (no, not really, but many), but i never read them twice. Maybe different times bring out different things from a book (or any other source of knowledge).

Regarding forgiveness, i never had a problem with that. Not as a child, not as a teenager and certainly not as an adult. In fact, i love to forgive... myself and others. Ho┬┤oponopono. :)

Our journey's take us into all sorts of terrain.

This year I have been critically looking at life priorities and distractions. As I have gone about this process (associated with a strength program at the gym - which is like a physical manifestation of overcoming challenges) it is obvious to me that many trivial and meaningless things constantly fight for my moment-by-moment attention. Some of them are recent things and some are from times long past.

In the quiet these manifestations show up regularly as well in many shapes and forms too.

As I have linked my physical strength practice with my mind and spirit practice, I am finding they align in many ways. More strength - body, mind and spirit comes from discipline, focus and determination.

But it seems to me that things like fear and doubt don't seem to be able to step into the field of "now". They don't seem to be able to step over the sideline and onto the field. When I am on the field doing, they sit on the sidelines and try to get my attention. But while I am on the field with high focus, they are not there.

Its still very much work in progress, but there are new realizations emerging, particularly when the physical limits are explored and probed and how these physical explorations cultivate mental and spiritual muscle as well...

    Just some observations...

    Don

I too love to go to the gym, doing it since about 3 years now regulary. I think not only the mind needs to be in balance, but the body as well.

Though staying as much as possible in the moment is only achievable for me through regular meditation. And because i cant do it as much as i would want to, im struggling with that atm. But thats life, isnt it... things are sometimes this and sometimes that way.

I have not boarded the astral plane for my final flight yet, Pan! ^_^

To be honest, I was largely hanging around for Ta-tsu-wa. He was eerily similar to my guiding spirit, right down down to their turn of phrase. As far as I am concerned, he was the one who was carrying the forum. Since then, whenever a newcomer has a serious question, it is generally just a matter of leading them to the right post by Ta-tsu-wa. There is not a lot to add, I think.

Lifeflow is technically impressive, but it is still just sound waves. It would be unreasonable to expect it to provide any spiritual content. It is a tool for improvement of this life, and not a bad one at that. But of course it has its limitations and its proper time and place.

Know that I wish you well still, Pan. It is more important to be true to one's own heart than to a product or even a community, although it is nice when they coincide, especially the community part! ^_^ I hope you will always be able to draw some strength from our coming together here.

Well, thanks for being honest then. :)

Ta-tsu-wa was in fact not very long here afaicr. We had some nice conversations before and after him... i have Giles & Edwin as FB contacts, though we dont talk much, its still nice to see whats going on with the guys.

Drawing strength from a community that doesnt exist anymore... probably not. I enjoy more the things that are. :p
