The universal law of attraction is constantly working and responding to your thoughts and feelings. Whether they are good or bad thoughts, happy or sad feelings - it is always responding to you. I wish you all wonderful thoughts, ecstatic feelings, a greater awareness through meditation of what you want to attract into your life. Happiness and joy to you all :) :) :)

i am trying to attract something, personal stuff i dont feel like posting on the internet ;)

I am however interrested in hearing how you are trying to keep these goals in your focus - i am also wondering if having more than one goal is unrealistic? At the moment I got 3 things I would like to focus my life on, but I am not sure if this is a wise idea? Should I try and "attract" one thing at a time?

    What a great question.....

Personally my answer to that is NO never limit yourself. However think realistic, not too realistic but imagine, feel, get exited about something that you really want then you can do this daily :)
You have to be able to feel as if you have what you are trying to attract right now, right in this moment. I do this daily and I tell you what it’s working and I believe what I am attracting is on its way. Of course you will meet hurdles, and times when you do not believe but these are just the times the “universe” is testing you. Do you really want this?? This is the question it is trying to ask you. The only answer you have to give then is YES.
    Remember Always Believe

I am attracting right now a thriving business and a wonderful family home for me and my fiancé. I really put detail into what I want and how I’m going to achieve this.

I highly recommend you listen to think and grow rich by Napoleon Hill it really is amazing. I have this set on my mp3 alarm clock. This really sets me up for the day. However recently I have turned it off due to Christmas and New Year but there is no excuse so I shall be using it again to wake myself up.

Just before I go, do you meditate using the discover meditation CD’s? I have recently started and the music at the end of my session where Michael says you can use the time to be grateful is also where I think about what I’m attracting and how thankful I am for it already.

Dream - “If you can go there in the mind you will sure enough go there in the body”. Believe you have your dreams already be thankful for them appreciate what you have I truly BELIEVE that is the key.

    Have a great day :)

    More people to meditate.

Last night as I watched the apprentice I saw the project manager for the women try to lead them in meditation. I think it failed because the time wasn't given to explain the benefits of doing it.

So here is what I did. I posted a new topic in Trump University - Online Real Estate & Business Courses
titled meditation. If you log on to the home page and scroll down on the lower right side you will find wealth forums, click on that and it will get you into the forums. Click the title Passion, and you will see Meditation and Light of the universe. I have posted there and we shall see what happens.

Michael, I think that we all should take a minute and post something like this in other forums that we visit. This may provide more people a way of looking at what we are doing. I have included the link to this site.

Perhaps one could get a karma point or two for creating discussions in other forums? This could be good?

    Hi Ras,
I completely understand you not wanting to post personal things on the net and you certainly don't need to. I focus on one thing at a time. I have been really tempted to focus on 2 things but I think it's better to lazer focus on 1 thing at a time.
About 9 years ago I was in an extremely bad financial position which took about 5 years to pull out of. This may sound insignificant to some but around that time I used to often see old people carrying heavy bags of shopping up the long hill near my home. At that point in my life I just wanted security. I didn't really think about what I wanted. I did know exactly what I DID NOT want though and with a passion!! I didn't want bills and I didn't want to be carrying heavy bags up that long hill when I was older. I didn't realize at the time that whatever you think about with feeling, (good or bad) that is what you are attracting towards you. So, make sure you don't focus on what you don't want. The next step is where most people fall down because they never get round to doing it.
I believe it is vital to write down exactly what it is that you want to attract. Write it in as much detail as you can and keep it where you can focus on it first thing in the morning and last thing at night. Whatever you write must be written as though you already have received what you want. When you read this to yourself you need to feel like you already have received what it is that you want. When you can really imagine and feel the happiness or joy or excitement as though it has already happened, and do this consistantly then you will achieve it. Creating a picture of what you want will help you to visualize it more clearly. This is where Lifeflow meditation can really help by quietening the constant chatter box, teaching you to live in the now and create focus and clarity for you. Every day I play creative flow while I read and visualize with excitement and enthusiasm what I am now attracting into my life. Remember, If you dwell on past sad memories or focus on future fears, that is what you are going to attract. We can all have bad moments, but we must not allow them to become bad hours or days (for our own good) If you feel down, think of someone or something that makes you feel really happy, play some music that inspires you or go for a walk. Michael has included one of the best gifts to all of us in the Discover Meditation course. The gratitude exercise. When you feel grateful for what you have you attract more good things to be greatful for. Unless people actually do this exercise I don't think they realize just how wonderful and powerful it is.
I hope you enjoy your journey Raz and don't give up. Whatever it is you want, I'm excited for you. Happiness and joy to you :) :) :)

thanks a lot for the replies everyone :)

I have to admit that I didnt pay much attention to the gratitude exercise when Michael talked about it on discover meditation, I was mostly interrested in learning how to meditate at the time, but perhaps I should give it a more dedicated try. The last few days I have indeed been sitting 2-4 mins. after my meditation thinking about what I want to attract - and in general feeling happy - and I will try to keep doing this to see if I benefit from it :)

The things I am currently trying to attract are not really major things, and pretty realistic I think, which is why I feel I can handle all 3 things at a time. One of them, is actually something I am focusing on will happen something during early febuary so perhaps I should just focus on that for now.
Again, thanks a lot for the replies! Really helps with the motivation :)

Hi Michael, (the man on a mission)
thankyou for your kind words - they are very much appreciated. It's a privelage to be a part of such a worthwhile community and a great opportunity to hopefully give something back as well as learn. As you stated in The Good Life the members are doing an outstanding job. Your courses have benefitted my life more than I could have imagined and for that I am eternally grateful to you.

I want to try to clarify my earlier post.

When I woke up this morning the thought of getting more people to try meditation was on my mind. So I thought that by providing an explanation as well as a link to this site would help. Rather than just a link to this site.

My thought was, that I am not one to go out and try something just because someone says its good, unless I can see the benefit of having it, or doing it.

So with that in mind I decided that if I took the time to explain some of the benefits I had noticed, then someone who was reading my post would perhaps be more inclined to say "I think I might give this a try"

When I posted this here this morning my idea was to get people thinking like this and post explanations of their positive experiences in other forums that they may frequent. The thought was to foster discussion in other forums and by doing that perhaps for the people who read them, they too might seek the benefits that we know. This was done to enhance the already posted way to earn Karma points. I hope that helps clarify what I was trying to do.

In 2000 I took over my father's locksmith business.

Almost right after that, due to the Euro and the war in Iraq, we had a recession in the Netherlands, which almost cost me my business.

I got an idea for selling safe's online, and became quite successfull, which ended up helping me keep my business.

The last 6 months I had kind of come into a slump, going about my every day business without innovating much or thinking towards the future.
A few months ago I discoverd "Project Meditation".
The old site Michael had was nice, however I spotted some things he might have done better in my opinion, having some experience, I wanted to return the favour to Michael for his free meditation course and gave him some pointers.

Just 1 or 2 months later, he came up with this new site, which is brilliant, and might I add, he did this on his own as I could never have thought of a plan like this, having a community help each other out !

Now here is the funny thing:
I was one of many to inspire him to change his site, and he did this so brilliantly, he inspired me to change my business ! It's great how positive thinking will free energy like this !

Within the next 2 months, I am going to change direction, and set course for a bigger business.
A befriended advertising agency agreed to help me for a special price, and so I will get a new company name, a new logo and designs for new paper and businesscards, as well as a new sign above my shop.
Also included is a design for a new webshop, from where I hope to expand my business up to a point where I will have to hire at least 1, and preferrably 2 employee's.
This will help me get out of my last moneyproblems, and will help me provide for my family better than I was able to do so the last years.

    This is dream number 1

Dream number 2 is the car that goes with all this ;) the Chevrolet Captiva.

I have decided that today ( januari 14th 2008 ) is going to be the first day I will actively do the visualisation exercise with these dreams !

I will tell you when I have reached my goals !

    Way to go Edwin!

They say the hardest thing is just deciding what you want! Keep visualizing, thought this might be good as a screen saver for you. http://z.about.com/d/cars/1/7/V/l/chevrolet_captiva.jpg Whats that other saying? thanx

Sometimes you don't need meditation to feel good again.

Just a nice message like yours will do just fine, thanks Victoria :)

I am so glad I joined this forum !

thank you too Pollyanna, you guys are the best motivators !

Yesterday evening I tried it for the first time, and I noticed a very nice side-effect :

I had finished a 35 minute meditation, did the 2 minutes eyes-closed, and started the way Michael explained on CD 2 of the meditation course I think it is,
first I was gratefull for my family, then my friends, then my health, and then I visualised my 2 goals until I had a clear picture of what I wanted.
Then I visualised standing in my new business, with my 2 daughters ( 3 and 5 years old ) sitting on my arms, with their cute little arms wrapped around my neck in a cozy little hug as we like to do so often. Then I turned around in front of the window to see my new car outside, and I could hear my oldest daughter asking me " Is that the car we are going on vacation with ? " And I answered " Yes sweetheart "
The nice side effect is, from the moment I started visualising getting that hug from my daughters, I smiled, and I kept on smiling for about 10 minutes !!!

visualising your dreams is WAY easyer this way, before it didn't work because it was hard to believe this could actually happen to me, but visualising it with that hug.... it feels so good I want to keep on doing it !

I hope I am doing it right  it feels that way !

    What to attract?

    Hi, All,

Something interesting has perplexed me a little bit about Manifesting and Attraction, and I wonder if anyone else has considered this.

In the early '80s I met a gal who was everything I ever thought I wanted in a mate and then some. Long story short, we got engaged and were together roughly 5 years, but I was unable to get her to commit to marriage. I remember at the time wishing there was something I could do to get her to commit herself. Only later, after the relationship had ended with a great deal of heartache to endure, did I discover that she was and always had been very promiscuous. In fact she did marry again (she had been married twice previously,) and her third marriage lasted less than 7 months, destroyed because she never gave up her promiscuous behaviors.

Years later I read some of Wayne Dyer's books on manifesting, particularly his "Ah" meditation which he said would help bring whatever you really desired come to pass. At first I thought to myself, "Whoa, if this really does work as Wayne says it does, if only I'd known about it back when this gal and I were engaged!"

And then I thought about it for a moment. What if I had been able to influence her to make a commitment? What would that have led to? The guy that came along after me only made it 7 months before he discovered the promiscuity. If I'd been able to manifest a commitment out of her, that might have been me in a 7 month marriage ending in divorce.

I have since thought about the idea of manifesting and attraction in broader terms and I wonder, am I really smart enough to know what to manifest? Perhaps I am better off leaving some of that sort of thing to a power higher and more intelligent than I am? I think Garth Brooks recorded a song that says, "Some of God's greatest gifts are unanswered prayers."

Anyone else ever have this concern?

Edwin, your two little sweethearts will probably be your driving force - I am so excited for you and I felt really emotional when I read your post. I know exactly what you mean when you said "it was hard to believe this could actually happen to me" - I used to feel the same until I read some good books and decided to change my way of thinking because my family was worth it. (and I am too) You might want to create a vision board and your little ones could help. Test drive the car and get a photograph of you and your family in it - suitcases in the back - parked outside your new business - ready to set off on a family vacation. I know you can do this. Happy hugging    Don,t forget to take your shades with you.
P.S. Once a man's mind has been expanded by a dream - there's no turning back, happiness and joy to you :) :) :)

    Hi Ta-tsu-wa,
I am sorry to hear what happened to you. The girl must have had some issue that needed dealing with and maybe that was her coping mechanism. I spent 9 years (5 of them married) to a man who wanted to control me, was unfaithful and became cruel - I think he still has serious unresolved issues. I never regret it though because if it hadn't happened I wouldn't have my two wonderful children who are everything to me. In those days I was unconsciously attracting things with my chatterbox - now that's scary!! When you stated in your post, "I have since thought about the idea of manifesting and attraction in broader terms and I wonder, am I really smart enough to know what to manifest?" I believe you are. I believe meditation and the Universal Law of Attraction have a major thing in common - they both help us to live more consciously. One of the greatest gifts we possess is choice. We can all choose a better way to live. I wish you lots of happiness and joy :) :) :)

Fortunately, that's not how it works :)
If I understand correctly, the power of attraction is based on POSITIVE energy emitted by yourself.
Thus it can never become a bad thing.
It's not like you have to pay the price for your happyness.

Then it would work like this: someone visualises having 100.000 dollars, and 3 days later gets driven over by a car, never to walk again.
He gets 100.000 for his bad luck.

Again, thankfully it works differently. You get what you ask for, good or bad, it just delivers that.

Secondly, even tho the power of attraction can work through people, you can't steer people with it. That way we would be mindless drones, and we are in fact each and every one of us a unique person that add to the giant mix :D
There is no way you could "influence" your girlfriend into marriage through attraction.
In fact, consider this: If you hoped for happyness at that time, that was probably what made you NOT marry this girl. It caused you pain that you broke up, and you experiance that as a bad thing, but we all get our share of pain in our life. Buddha noticed the same thing when he grew up, and decided he wanted to rid the world from pain. He didn't try to actually take away the events that cause us pain, that's impossible, he tried to make people see things differently, so that the pain inside people would go away.
The fact that you didn't marry her is simply something to be gratefull for.

"The Secret" is only new in a way that it describes that great force as the Universe, while others would call It God, or Allah or whatever you want to call that higher power. It has always been there, and always will, energy cannot disappear, only change.
If you pray instead of meditate, and visualise what you want, you will also get what you asked for. Meditation is just the medium we use on this forum, so try it ! :)

If you know how, you can use that Force for your benefit, and Michael explains how to do it.
Try to stay positive, and ban negative words like "can't" or "won't" from your vocabulary, even in dayly life !

To manifest or not? That is the question.

There was once a man who was so poor he didn't even have enough money to buy a car so that he could find a decent job. He took the little money he had and purchased a lottery ticket and with it won a great deal of money. His friends came to him and said, "My, what great fortune you had purchasing that lottery ticket!"

    "Perhaps so," the man replied.

When the government learned of his winnings they came and took all of what he won to pay back taxes the man had owed from many years past. His friends all came to him and said, "What bad luck that was, losing all that money to the government!"

    "Perhaps so," replied the man.

A local charity heard of the man's hard luck and took up a collection raising enough money to purchase a car for the man so that he could find and commute to a good job. His friends came to him and exclaimed, "What a great blessing it is to have been given this beautiful automobile!"

"Perhaps so," was all the man said.

A few days later while out driving his new car the man was hit by a drunk driver. His new car was demolished and the man was seriously injured and had to stay several weeks recovering in a hospital. His friends all came to visit, saying to him, "This is a terrible, terrible thing that has happened to you!"

    "Perhaps so," he responded.

A few days after entering the hospital there arose a great storm. During the night the hillside on which the man's house was built was washed away in a mudslide destroying and burying the house and everything in it. His friends came to see him once again. "Aren't you lucky you were here in the hospital and not asleep at home as you would normally have been!"

You can probably guess how the man responded. He was wise enough to understand that in the world of manifest phenomena, things come and things go. Nothing...absolutely nothing is permanent. Even stars with lives of billions of years will arise, shine for a time, then disappear. All manifest things are temporary in nature. Knowing that fact allowed this man to see all things, both the pleasant and the not so pleasant as simply temporary conditions, and nothing to get too terribly attached to.

In a way this almost sounds like such a person would have no enjoyment in life, but on the contrary, recognizing the impermanence of all things sets one free to enjoy what is without the nagging fear of loss because they know in advance that all things are just temporary arrangements, both good and bad.

So Ta-Tsu-Wa, regarding your story of "the woman who almost was" so to speak, you really need to see things from that standpoint of impermanence of forms. Like that wise man you can look at that relationship and say, "My, but that didn't turn out well... Perhaps so." Or you could say, "That was really a great few years of my life...Perhaps so." Either way you would be right.

The same is true of anything you manifest. Some things may turn out exactly as you envisioned them, and some things may turn out very differently. Does that mean they were either "good" or "bad"?

    Perhaps so.

That is a very good story Raven, and quite hilaric I might add ! :D

It's true, what if.. is really not of importance. What is important is what DID happen. Most of what we call "the past" is based on our imperfect memory, and what we call "the future" has yet to come.
It's impossible for us to see "the big picture" like Raven tried to show us with his amusing story.

All that is important, is the constant and ever moving "now" in which we live. All that has happened is stored in our brain, and both guards us from making the same mistake twice, but also imprisons us.

This also makes the attraction law a bit more clear to me ! I sometimes wonder if it is possible, all that I want to attract...
but my disbelief is based on the past, and if I break free from expectations based on the past, I realise that I cannot imprison the future: It is yet to happen and is free from expectations !

Who knows what can happen in the future, it is only important when it reaches "now" and straight after that it is all in the past.
Sorry for thinking out loud, but I now understand why it doesn't matter wether you want a new pen or a new car, it is all in the future and there are no limits to what you attract other than that of your own mind !
