Stress points

    Hey just a quick question.

    Does any one know anything about stress points on the body?
    I have one on my back, just to the left below my shoulders close to the neck.
    Now I am working long hours. Its just a constain pain. Is this a lifeflow emotional build up or general stress.
    How to get rid of it etc etc.

    Thanks again thought I'd put it out there and see if anyone has some thoughts or ideas.

    I am no doctor but i used to suffer with stress points in my body and in particular on my shoulders.

    I was told it was caused but being tense around that area....even though u dont notice your doing it. Its tense for that long that it builds up into pain. Good massage and heat along with meditation to learn your muscles to relax will hopefully benefit you.

    It's worth a try....if meditation relaxes u..u may notice over time the pain will decrease.

    The recommendation of localised firm massaging and rubbing over the point of muscle spasm is a good way to releave the "trigger point".
    Also give attention to your posture and the way you sit as this can also contribute to discumfort

    Hi scotland01,
    I have been searching for this thread i remembered seeing somewhere after i saw your quiery regarding the stress points. well finally found it here it is. this is Ta-su-wa's contribution (Thank you)- PointFinder: The Online Acupressure Guide ,It contains A-z points and self help guide. It is in the golden thread , very helpful , the trick is to be consistent in practice until it disappears.
