    From what I have read and experienced, it's important to get a release (the relaxation response - Dr Herbert Benson) happening *with* meditation, because unless there's that, you will still have your issues.

    I think hypnotherapy is a better place to start if you cannot get that happening in your meditation. I have found that this is so important for a personal meditation practice to be successful.
