    Total novice here, mediation geek off and on. Found LF and said why not? Was going to immediately cancel monthly subscription ( hate hate hate auto refills and the like), but something stopped me.
    Been doing the LF 10 ( novice remember) for about a week everyday sometimes twice . I notice nothing calming but have no expectations yet.... However... I have been doing something I swear I moved past recently. As a kid, I had a horrible temper and worked so hard on it into my adulthood. It appears to have come back, in short temperament, quick bursts of anger. Is this something that's coming up that needs to be addressed because perhaps I haven't? Or coincidence ( which btw, I don't believe in..)
    Thoughts welcome....

    Hi there Sjscogno and welcome to the community forum :)

    are you using a meditation technique when listening to LifeFlow or are you using it for relaxation? Your reply will allow me to give suggestions that can be of great help to you.

    In the meantime, you may like to play "Creative Flow" (one of the free bonus tracks you will now have access to) quietly in the background when you are using your computer. I play this or another track whenever I am working at mine.

    Perhaps you suppressed your anger and controlled your temper, still suppressed emotions never go away - they actually build up until they eventually burst out.

    Meditation allows suppressed emotions to surface giving you the opportunity to release them.

    When anger arises, if you try to control it or push it away you are actually resisting it and what you resist persists. Resistance always causes dis-comfort

    The next time anger rises notice that it is accompanied with thoughts and a physical sensation. Here's what you need to do. Take your focus away from your thoughts and accept and welcome the physical sensation. Unemotionally observe the sensation with great curiosity and indifference.

    When you consciously and calmly observe anything that does not serve you well it will simply fritter away.

    As this was a strong emotion, it may come up again and you may need to do this process a few times before you let go of it completely.

    When you do this it is so liberating. Look forward to hearing your reply and seeing how you progress. I wish you much peace and joy :) :) :)

    Thanks

    Hi;
    So now I am in a few weeks. I use Lifeflow and many of the other free downloads for both relaxing and mediation. I find meditation to be easier when listening to life flow. "gets me there quicker" - its almost scary.

    Thank you for the information, I believe that is exactly what is happening, old emotions surfacing. Never thought to welcome the emotion dispassionately but will take your advise. :eek:
