    Hi guys,

I've been meditating on and off for a while - the only thing that causes me to stop is my chronic sinusitis. I get really bad mucus build up in the back of my throat, and I find myself constantly swallowing/clearing my throat whilst trying to focus on the breath (very annoying).

Is this going to stop me from being able to meditate effectively? Any similar experiences/suggestions?

Hi foreverest and welcome to the community :)

Focusing on your breathing is probably the worst meditation technique for you if you suffer from chronic sinusitus. You can download the free "Discover Meditation" from the top left of the community. It's a great way to learn and may well take your attention away from your sinus problem.

Hope this is of help. Look forward to hearing how you progress and wish you much peace and joy :) :) :)
