In 'think and grow rich', they advice to to read aloud your written statement, concerning how much money you desire, date of possessing the money, , plans etc twice daily, when you want to acquire riches .Those are desires ,right??I've been told, not to cling to desires, this leaves you in the 'wanting mode'.and never go forward Wanting is the opposite of having, thus a sign of lack.

What is the best way to go from here??Do I let go, or visualize???

    Confusing...

    Hey KB :)

Yes those you are explaining are what is known as desires :)

I don't think you truely can find an answer for what you are looking for, it is not as simple as an "yes" or a "no"

What is required for you ti visualize your desires is that you already can feel that you have whatever you desire, and someone do this best by write they statements down on a paper, and read it aloud, some create a mindmovie, some simply just visualize whatever they desire in they mind, so it is something that you have to figure out yourself, whatever feels right for you is the right method to do so :)

I don't know to much about the so called "wanting mode" but i mean visualize is basically sayning what you want, and then create the feeling that you already have it .

I don't think you need to worry to much about it, again what feels right to you is the right way :)

    I hope i was understandable :)

Peace and Joy to you :)

Well, you are really dealing with two different techniques; each of which have a different goal that they are aimed for.

One one hand, you have practicing awareness and staying in the present moment. The goal of this is to become 'enlightend'. To realize your true self and become one with the universe (Also know that this isn't really a 'goal' because a goal is something you are working toward whereas enlightenment (or the divine) is what you really are whether or not you realize it).

Okay, so on the other hand, you have the law of attraction. In using these techniques, you are trying to gain something that you desire, whether it be a physical possession, a relationship, or whatever.

So those are the two scenarios and the two goals that they aim for. Now, asking someone which one is better is based more on opinion. Like Anton said, whichever one you feel is more important, or whichever one you feel you are more attracted to is the one you should go for.

But what if you want both? I've seen this question answered like this: Throughout the day, you should always practice awareness and being in the Now. However, you can set aside specific times for a manifestation process where you can visualize and do any other techniques that you have learned such as those in Think and Grow Rich. I hope that helps.

So in summary, LOA vs. the Now. Choose the one that you feel better about. If you want both, then live in the now but set aside time for visualization techniqes and then go back to the Now, when you are done.

    Best of luck,
    Love,
    Eric

Imed,This 'letting go'also comes from a loa writer;)

Saying your desires each day aloud,, means asking each day for the same desires, twice.Asking your wants...

On one hand, if you have limited believesand you are unsure about your goals,or unsure about yourself, this technique might enhance your believes and create more faith. So it might be good to use this as affirmations . On the other hand, I remain in the asking mode and have not much faith in the allowing to take place( taking your attention away from not having what you want) this means you will never reach this ''receiving.procedure”.
It seems to me you are actually transmitting a negative emotion( a emotion of lack, having is the opposite of wating) Anyway, this is how this feels like... because you want certain things to occur you should:
So far, this 'letting go' procedure, makes sense to me

This is how I see this, now;)

Anton, I totally agree, everybody should do what feels most comfortable The most important thing is, no matter what you do, as long as it feels good.
I believe you also have to be ready for receiving. No matter how strong this vision I have on this goal , if I lack confidence.or feel anxious, or whatever aspects I still have to work on. I have to work on the downside of my shadow, preferably first

I am not quite sure what you are trying to say here. Can you please rephrase it?

As I was saying though, you may go on and practice the techniques given in SGR and count that as your time of trying to 'improve' your life. Then, once you are done, you should go back to practicing being present each and every moment. Practicing presence is not only helpful in becoming enlightened, but it is also helpful in working with the law of attraction. In practicing being present, you will learn to accept things as they are and enjoy each moment, which in turn, will keep you from focusing on lack like you were talking about.

The whole idea of lack is just a creation of the mind anyways. Eckhart Tolle says to "focus on this moment and see what problems you have." You won't have any problems when you are completely present because problems are created by the mind (or ego or whatever you want to call it). When you are not lost in your mind your 'problems' (such as lack) won't exist either.

    Well Eric, hopes this works
    :D

If I repeat my desires everyday. Asking time and time again, the same thing, I would remain in the asking mode. I am not allowing to let go of my desires.. (pay attention to just feeling good, my desires, for having what I want, think about my desire as if it was here) The more time you ask the same thing. The further you are away You are actuarially sending out”i don't have this!.”.

If you want something and you have not asked for it yet, this is okYou are in the asking mode. However. I believe, if you ask,ask and just keep on asking, the universe alligns up what you are sending about( I do not have this)..

Your phrase actually reminds me of that warrior story , Eckard told. There a sort of a fighting ,which took plaxe. The contester was sad and confused why he did not win.r He should have won the contest to his believes This is what he wanted, more then ever.
He had put to much energy in the desire to win, instead of focusing to get the best out of the now. I am convinced, this is true. It is ok,to want something or have desires(you should have them!)bu emotions as lack, anxiety, sadness can overrule the peace and joy which should go with the wanting.
I think this Eckard Tolle is amazing:cool:

Are you trying to say this?: In order for the LOA to work, you must FEEL as if you already have your desire. Then, in already having the feeling, the universe will match up to your vibration and give you what you want. But you are having trouble doing this because you are sending out the vibrations of wanting to have something and all this does is it says to the universe that you are lacking of your desire and that's what you will keep on getting (lack) until you can change your feelings of already having it. Is that where you are having the trouble with. Changing your emotions from wanting to already having?

You are very welcome. I'm so happy I was able to help you out. Focusing on being in the NOW takes a lot of will power and it can be very hard to constantly be 'present'. Just know that no matter how many times you get lost in your thoughts, the only thing that is important is that you keep on coming back into the NOW. Every single moment there is a choice to be in the NOW or not. One thing that I have just started doing to help make it easier is to live like every single moment is a really really important part of your life; because in reality, it really is because it's the only thing we have. Best of luck to you.

    Love,
    Eric

    BE the change you want!

I totally agree with you Eric. "Continuity of practice is the secret to success!" That was the refrain that Goenkaji constantly used to say during the 10 day vipassana meditation retreats I took with him. And every teacher has reiterated it.

We can't expect change if we limit our spiritual awareness and positive thinking to the time we're in meditation! We have to BE the change, living it every moment we can. :):):)

And Karin, this is what I do when using the LOA to attract something. I first ask, and then when I think of it, I give thanks for what is coming. That way I'm affirming my faith in the process instead of constantly asking. I hope that helps! :)

All the best to you both

Wow, this is loa.. This is so cool This is no coincidence. .
Just before I opened this page, I was doing some affirmations. I deciden to put gratitude within my affirmation. I believe this must have come from you:confused:

I don not believe in coincidence so this must have been...

I am doing gratitudes, and recently decided to add a positive statement with it., such as, 'I feel so loved, blessed and peaceful, for all the people who are coming into my life right now"

You all just gave me the right inspiration, at the right time. Thank you all so much!!!

    Love ye,
    Karin

I really begin to love this:cool::)
