    Another piece from my journal:-

    “Listen to the mustn'ts, child.
    Listen to the don'ts.
    Listen to the shouldn'ts,
    the impossibles, the won'ts.
    Listen to the never haves,
    then listen close to me...
    Anything can happen, child.
    Anything can be.”
    Shel Silverstein

    Anything Can Happen...

    Hi Polyanna

Do I think that anything can happen?

My parents separated when I was 6yrs old. I didn't see my father again until 34yrs later when I emigarated to Australia and met my half brother sitting
across from me at a job interview:) I didn't even know that he existed.

I only applied for one job and didn't know anyone in that city!

Months before I remember saying to myself, 'Something wonderful is going to happen". I wasn't really sure why, but it felt really good saying it.

Just thought I'd share that with you.

Have just been going through an old journal, came accross some affirmations I made some decades ago and thought how good it would have been to have Creative Flow at that time :)

If you are using affirmations and auto suggestions why not play Creative Flow in the background. It's the perfect theta state for the sub-conscious to be reached.

Just a thought, hope it's of help to someone and wishing you an abundance of peace and joy :) :) :)

Gratitude is a state of being that is thankful for everything that is good and received in your life. Gratitude is appreciating and identifying the richness of all the blessings in your life. When you feel truly grateful and focus your attention on gratitude each day, the experience of it within your being intensifies a sense of energy - of aliveness.

Never tell a child their dreams are unlikely or outlandish. Few things are more humiliating, and what a tragedy it would be if they believed it.

    Be Thankful

    Pollyanna,

Thanks for sharing so much of your journey and the inspirational help you had along the way. It is truly remarkable!

One of the tasks in The Happiness Advantage is to list three things to be grateful for each day. I have had such a difficult time doing this. So I found your post (I don't know what to call it; it's not a poem) to be most helpful in getting me to stop focusing on my problems and to look at them as opportunities. I put the videos on my phone and will add your post in a day or two.

Don't mean to ramble. This site is so awesome..."Discover" taught me how to meditate.

    Thank you again,

    Dan

Sense of Purpose makes such a difference...

There are many hills in the forest where I cycle each day with my dog and I'm very grateful to have electric assistance when I need it. If my grandchildren cycle with me occasionally, we have many stops as they find it hard work and tiring.

Except for the other day. A friend from the local village rang to say her dog had been missing all night and asked if we had seen him. They had been looking everywhere and believed he had run after a deer trail and got lost.

My daughter and grandchildren came along with me and we cycled through the forest looking and calling out for the missing dog. After cycling about three quarters of our journey, I watched my grandaughter cycling ahead, calling the dogs name at the top of her lungs and said to my daughter who was cycling next to me "a dog in the chase doesn't know it has fleas" I had just realised how she never once had stopped because she was too tired or thirsty.

My little 9 year old grandaughter was on a mission - she was on fire - she wanted to find this lovely dog and save him from another cold night alone. She wasn't focusing on the hills and how tiring they were. She had a purpose and she kept going for longer than we normally do.

I'd heard the statement about the dog in the chase many times, however, it's much more powerful to see a real example of the meaning of the saying.

A sense of purpose really does make all the difference and I thought I'd just share one of my grandaughters with you :) :) :)

    My experience

Great post about gratitude. Sometimes we have thought patterns ongoing in our subconscious of which maybe we are unaware or choose to ignore that are counter productive to our conscious expression of gratitude. And our desired life experience in general. I read a book "The Power of Believing" by John Hall available on amazon.com that recomends the incorproation fo "Life Scripts" into your daily routine 2 to 3 times per day. A part of these life scrits is the expression of gratitude. The use of life scripts helps to change your subconscious thought patterns to eliminate what is counter productive to what you desire to achieve. I have incorporated this practice into my daily routine and it has had a significant impact on my life circumstances.

That's great news, I am really pleased for you :) Scripts, Affirmations and/or inner dialogue recordings can be extremely powerful and life-changing. I recorded some personal ones for each of my grand-children.

They love listening to them every night with LifeFlow and I am thrilled with the results they are making in their lives.

I wish you continued success and much peace and joy :) :) :)

Thanks for sharing your thoughts about Change. I guess, change begin within yourself:) No one else could dictate to you of what you really want to do with your own life. It is your goal to exactly develop something that you think is relatively right. I think it is your choice to change:)

When you want a change in anything. Then firstly make changes in yourself. Every change starts from our own. If you change accordingly other thing will also change.
