Thankyou for your kind words Sogno, especially at a time when you have been feeling so miserable - you made a difference to this heart :) And that's what life is all about when it comes down to it.

As long as I can make a difference, I'm going nowhere - I'm here to stay ;)

The journey through life is a bit like a long railroad I think. So many wonderful things to see and experience along the way, yet every once in a while we journey through a dark tunnel. Some are short, some are longer than others and some can seem so long that we almost forget the light that is always waiting at the end. Some we see coming in the distance and some just seem to appear from nowhere.

Through reading your previous posts I understand that you suffer from PTSD and bi-polar. I mention this to you because I cannot imagine how you feel sometimes, though my heart reaches out to you and hopes the things that have helped me in the past are of some use to you.

For many years, I found that counting my blessings and reading good books to help me develop a better, more positive and healthy attitude really improved my life. However, when I entered a dark tunnel, I found I didn't want to read - that's when I discovered that this was the most crucial time for me to read, play good music, count my blessings etc.

I believe the tunnels became shorter and less frequent because of this.

And then I learned how to observe with LF and let go of so much more garbage than I would have ever believed I was carrying around with me.

And I'm still letting go of stuff

Looking back, I feel like I was like Atlas, carrying the weight of the whole world on my shoulders - and I had the massive amount of tension to prove it.

Now I feel FREE, though I'm glad I experienced it all - it allows me to understand and hopefully help others.

Have you learned to observe and let things go? Let me know and if I can be of any help to you. I wish you much peace and joy on your journey :) :) :)

head on and feel first and stop to observe. i'm practicing to do it the other way round .This post has helped me so much.

Pollyana the way you post about things it sounds like you have reached enlightenment tell me how did you come about Life Flow and whats your story if you have these posted somewhere else just let me know where so I can check it out I want to experience what you experience.

If you have any good tips for meditating please let me know my biggest problems come from I get distracted easily I was practicing the discover meditation fast track to success I was practicing meditating for the first time .

It was going well for the first few minutes but then all sorts of random thoughts came flooding into my head I did just as michael said don't resist them just let them pass by but I was wondering if you knew of a technique to help quiet the noise in my head a little more easily your response is appreciated

    Hope to experience bliss soon

Hi there Eady and welcome to the community :) I came accross LifeFlow nearly 3 years ago when I was introduced to Michael Mackenzie. I had spent much time and money trying to learn to meditate including T.M. and another entrainment company.

What Michael said just seemed right to me, I trusted him, followed his instructions to the letter and the rest is history. My perspective/ego/map of reality is constantly improving for the better because of taking the little special time out each day to meditate with LifeFlow - it really has improved my life immensely in so many ways as it has for many others here - as I'm sure it will for you.

For many years I have studied and applied personal growth to my life - I am a great believer in "If it's meant to be, it's up to me". Here's a link to my story

    http://www.project-meditation.org/community/law-attraction/173-law-attraction-2.html#post577

The best tip I can give you is not to try or expect anything - just trust, relax and enjoy the rest. Once you learn how to observe negative emotions and supressed feelings you will begin to feel the amazing feeling of letting them go and experiencing the peace, joy and bliss that is already within you. Hope this answers your questions and I wish you an abundance of peace and joy :) :) :)

    Pollyanna,

Once again you touch my heart very deeply. Thank you so much. I do too feel like Atlas and my shoulders are a confirmation of it. You are so right, the darkest hours are the one when action is most needed, even if it seems impossible to so. I'm not too sure that I know how to observe and let go. I tend to get stuck! How do you do it?

Thanks again, I really find your wisdom and compassion absolutely illuminating.

    Lots of love

    Sogno

Hi again Sogno and once more, thankyou for your kind words :) I've just re-read this whole thread to see if I can explain how I observe more simply.

When you can make time, re-read it carefully and you may understand it better (I apologise that I cannot explain it more simply at the moment - I also know when I am talking to people, I have a tendancy to go off on tangents )

Try re-reading the thread and also it may help if you explain what you try and do yourself when attempting to observe. The most important thing I can stress is, don't get involved with the thoughts, memories or the story - just observe the body sensation.

You'll definately get there because I did and once it clicks with you it will seem easy :) I look forward to seeing how you progress and wish you an abundance of peace and joy :) :) :)

P.S. In the meantime, I'll try to find a simpler way to explain observing

Just found the following in a journal last night and would like to share it with you:-

So often, we read books filled with great advice and feel we have learned much. Then we go on to read and learn more and more until we accumulate a vast ammount of knowledge.

It's wonderful to have a hunger to learn, however, if we do not put into action what we have learned it becomes wasted effort.

Here is some sound advice which I wrote onto a giant poster and placed on my back door many years ago. As I read it numerous times each day, it gradually seeped into and became engrained in my sub-conscious, enabling me to take action and move forward.

TO KNOW AND NOT TO DO, IS NOT TO KNOW -
IF YOU REALLY, REALLY KNEW (WHAT YOU CAN ACHIEVE OR DO)
YOU COULD NOT POSSIBLY HOLD BACK

Hope this is of help to someone :) :) :)

    wow!

    :):):)

Wow, what a thread! i too will be re-reading this one several times, the advice in here is amazing.

I was unsure on 'feelings' and how to let them go, or even know that 'that feeling' was related to anything at all. Still learning too. Even though i have been doing lifeflow for about 8 months now, i have actually returned back to the start of life flow 10 having getting down to life flow 6. This was something that my own head/heart told me to do having realised that i wasnt actually meditating to lifeflow, i was falling asleep! :p. I think this happen purely as i did the holosync programme first, and this didnt matter if you fell alseep, apparently?!

But as always polyanna, such an inspiration...... i can not wait to find enlightenment and feel that peace and joy you all talk about. Dont get me wrong, i get it now, but do slip back every now and then when i have a fallback in my life. However, doing my gratitude every day i am now starting to see my fall backs as positives and giving thanks for showing me the expierence (whatever it may have been) that i had throughout this expierence ie relationship breakdown. I saw that this person left me, because i wasnt being given a chance to grow and move forward in life, so his departing meant that i could once again find the time to concentrate on me, thus giving me more time for me and my girls. I miss him dearly, but know if it is meant to be we will grow back together, if it wasnt then we wont :)

    love and hugs to all.

    peace and happiness too :):):)

Hi there BS and thankyou for your kind words :) The stuff in my journals (learned from many great people) has helped me make some great changes and to be able to share them gives me great pleasure.

I used to fall asleep to LifeFlow often in the early days also - I have no doubt that you will experience more and more peace and joy as you become more familiar with the present moment. I am so happy that you are enjoying the gratitude exercise - it's a wonderful gift to share with our children :)

Looking forward to hearing about your ongoing success and I wish you an abundance of peace and joy :) :) :)

That's awesome news Beth. You have already achieved so much success and I'm sure you now know how much more you can do :) Go girl, I'll be looking out for you.

Here's a great quote by H. Jackson Brown Jr. "Be bold and courageous. When you look back on your life, you'll regret the things you didn't do more than the ones you did."

I wish you an abundance of peace and joy on your continuing journey of self discovery :) :) :)

Copied the following from the archives of the Mind, Body and Spirit section for new people who may want to benefit from it:-

The Power of Habit by Dr. Denis Waitley

    "You may know me.
    I'm your constant companion.
I'm your greatest helper; I'm your heaviest burden.
I will push you onward or drag you down to failure.
    I am at your command.
Half the tasks you do might as well be turned over to me. I'm able to do them quickly, and I'm able to do them the same every time,
    if that's what you want.

I'm easily managed; all you've got to do is be firm with me.
Show me exactly how you want it done; after a few lessons I'll do it automatically.
I am the servant of all great men and women; of course,
I'm the servant of all the failures as well.
I've made all the winners who have ever lived.
And, I've made all the losers too.

But I work with all the precision of a marvelous computer
with the intelligence of a human being.
    You may run me for profit, or you may run me to ruin;
it makes no difference to me.

Take me. Be easy with me, and I will destroy you.
Be firm with me, and I'll put the world at your feet.
    Who am I?

    I'm Habit!

Habits are replaced, not broken. Habits are like submarines. They run silent and deep. Habits grow by observation, imitation and repetition from cobwebs into cables to strengthen or shackle our lives. First we make our habits, then our habits make us.

Success and failure are both habit-forming. Find mentors and role models with proven track records of success and emulate them."

We often form habits that take care of the way we look on the outside yet we often fail to form the habit of looking inward to take care of what matters most.

Creating the regular habit of meditation allows the harmful habits to be released allowing us to become familiar with a new and healthier way of being.

The power of habit is truly amazing. I am so thankful for the habits of meditation and gratitude - they make life tremendous :)
