    G'day All,

Love the thread, my contribution :

Here some quotes from a less known Zen master:

Promise me you’ll never forget me because if I thought you would I’d never leave.” Winnie the Pooh

“”I don’t see much sense in that,” said Rabbit.
“No,” said Pooh humbly, “there isn’t. But there was going
to be when I began it. It’s just that something
happened to it along the way.””
    Winnie the Pooh
You haven’t lost your smile at all, it’s right under your nose. You just forgot it was there.”
    Winnie the Pooh

“Love is what makes two people sit in the middle of a bench when there is plenty of room at both ends” Winnie the Pooh

“Some love one, some love two. I love one, and that is you.” Winnie the Pooh

“It is more fun to talk with someone who doesn’t use long, difficult words but rather short, easy words like “What about lunch?” Winnie the Pooh

If the person you are talking to doesn’t appear to be listening, be patient. It may simply be that he has a small piece of fluff in his ear.” Winnie the Pooh

Don’t underestimate the value of Doing Nothing, of just going along, listening to all the things you can’t hear, and not bothering.” Winnie the Pooh

“A little Consideration, a little Thought for Others, makes all the difference.” Winnie the Pooh

“You can’t stay in your corner of the Forest waiting for others to come to you. You have to go to them sometimes.”
    Winnie the Pooh

“Sometimes, if you stand on the bottom rail of a bridge and lean over to watch the river slipping slowly away beneath you, you will suddenly know everything there is to be known.” Winnie the Pooh

Rivers know this: there is no hurry. We shall get there some day.” Winnie the Pooh

    Attitude

“The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company… a church… a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past… we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so it is with you… we are in charge of our Attitudes.”

This is so true Merlin. I really like the inspiring life story of Les Brown. Don't know his exact quote, however I read something in one of his books that said "Every day is a great day if you don't wake up with a white chalk line around your body!" How true...

So, here's to "giving thanks" a little "flow" and "letting go" :) :) :)

Just found this on You tube Merlin. It's one of six videos. I recommend watching them all - if not, at least 1 and 6 He won't be for everyone but I love this guy's spirit - enjoy :) :) :)
