Default Hi everyone:)

Hi, I just joined you so I'd like to introduce myself :)
I'm totally new to meditation :( But i really want to learn!

With meditation I want achieve this: think more clearly, get rid off fears (pseudo-fears, social fears, making fear REALLY BIGGER THAN it is etc), get rid of anxiety and panic, start thinking more efficient and effective - faster and clearly :) become more agressive (self agressive), increase happiness :) because now i feel very very depressed :((

So I have no idea how to start! but i have a strong wish to learn! :)

Welcome to the forum.
A good start is to download the free meditation course - Discover Meditation - at the top left hand of the opening page of the forum.

You'll get free advice, a meditation method and a helpful cd to meditate with.

It's probably best not to think of 'achievement' in terms of your meditation.

All the things you want are proven by-products of meditation.

If you are constantly looking for improvement in areas you think you are lacking in, it becomes a self-defeating exercise. All the things you mention are human frailties we are all subject to.

They are like the clouds which obscure the pure blue sky that we really are. The clouds thicken, thin, disperse, reform, send rain, but the pure blue sky of our essence is always there.

looking forward to hearing about your experiences, as you learn and discover things.

some good advice from hazel.

if it doesn't make complete sense at first, it will.
with things like this, experience is great way to understand, more so than most aspects of life.

Thanks everybody you are great, and that's really an awesome forum!

I've downloaded the course, that Hazel advised me, and I will listen to it today and tomorrow and I also looked at the forum and found some special meditation audios like "to improve self-confidence"? "deep relaxation" etc.. - it's something different? and what should I take in that case?

GilesC, sure I will tell about my successes and failures because this is my really firsts steps and i'm a little afraid of failuire

brozen, yes, it's interesting, and I didn't understand all clear.... maybe with time it will come that would be good and what about "most aspects of life" - i didn't get it either ... i feel like it's something good and nice, but I can't explain
