Default I'm a newbie

I am hoping that meditation calms the thoughts that go on all day. I need to be still and listen to my inner self because my ego is not doing my life any good. I want to change my life and my attitude.

Experiencing the inner peace and tranquility achieved during meditation is wonderful. Even just a few moments in this state carry with it tremendous benefits as your mind and nervous system are given some much needed rest.
By changing your state, you can improve the entire quality of your life. All that's required from you is a little daily practise - enjoy and I wish you much peace and joy
