Just registered this morning, so I thought I'd say 'Hi'.
I used to meditate near 20 yrs ago and did so for maybe about 7 yrs. Whether or not it was a result of meditation, they were without doubt the happiest years of my life and I experienced all the things that people often describe when speaking of meditation (joy, happiness, love, etc.). Then a lot changed in my life, including having a son and which meant I had a lot less time to myself. I gradually grew away from meditation and haven't really done much over the subsequent years. I started again about four months ago after thinking back to those happy days when practice was a daily part of my life, though I kind of wonder if my happiness was just a part of being young (I was in my late teens when I started). Anyway, I thought I'd try again and found Project Meditation after not having settled on a way of meditating (which, as I say, I picked up again recently).
I've been impressed with Project Meditation so far as everyone seems helpful and warm (much needed virtues in these days!) and I've gone through the 'Discover Meditation' course and really enjoyed it. I'll soon be listening to the free 8 min sample of the LifeFlow technology and I'm excited about doing so, though I've just one question before I do, if anyone can help, though I'm not sure if I should post it on another part of the forums? If I did a 20 minute meditation as described by Michael in 'Discover Meditation', would I play the 8 minute sample at any time when meditating or just play it separately on it's own?
