I have downloaded the LifeFlow samples to listen to later but I wanted to ask if any of the current users had used Holosync. I have been using Holosync for about 2 years now and very happy with the changes I have noticed in my life. But I am open-minded in my learning journey and grateful for your views.

Hi Amina and welcome to the community. Glad you liked it, keep it up.

Hi Jo, and likewise, welcome to the community.
I haven't personally used Holysync, but there are certainly members here who have used it and views differ a little. There are those who have used it but didn't like the agressive marketing and found Lifeflow better in that respect. There are those who have used it and it didn't seem to do anything for them, but they found Lifeflow did instead, and there are those who have tried it and also Lifeflow and found benefit from both. I think most of those who are on these forums prefer Lifeflow from the respect that it is a clearly defined set of 10 levels (without all the agressive marketing) and, whilst Michael does occasionally produce something new for us to try, in terms of Lifeflow itself, it isn't going to get more levels added on later on, which I understand Holosynch seems to do.

If you do a search on the forums, you'll find quite a few discussions on it, and I'm sure you'll get some answers here too from those who have tried both.

From my personal perspective, Lifeflow worked for me and I didn't need to seek anything else.

Hugs

Giles

Default New to Meditation

Hi Micheal and All,
I am fairly new to guided mediation and entrainment, I have to say that the few days I have been using LifeFlow and Developing Mental Abilities have made me more relaxed. I am looking forward to change or improve so many aspects in my life. Hoping to download more soon, including weightloss meditation as well. Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity!!

Phase2.

My only real struggle with the mantra meditation is the fact that I want to say it out loud and I find it a bit challenging, funny as it may be, to just "say it in my head". I have been using the simple "om" and I start out saying it out loud 4-5 times, to feel the vibrations and calm myself, but once I switch to saying it in my head, it almost seems more difficult. Perhaps this is why my experience in focusing more on just my breath was more "relaxing", as I did not feel the "awkwardness" of having to say a mantra in my head???
Warm welcome to the forum.

If you are more comfortable using the breath as your meditation technique there is absolutely no reason not to continue with this. It is not necessary to use the mantra if you feel it awkward. The mantra is not an indispensable part of the effect of the entrainment tracks. It is just a suggested technique to use alongside. It is great for those who are just beginning or those who feel using mantra is the technique for them.

I use awareness of body sensations and sometimes just the breath and also meditate with and without the entrainment tracks and volume very low.
I think it also very beneficial to spend a few minutes at the end of each meditation session sending loving kindness to myself and outwards to all I can think of - the 'gratitude' tape is lovely for this.
peace and joy
