Moving LF to mp3 player

I would like to know if I can copy the LF cd to my mp3 player so I can use it when and where ever I may be.
Will LF be as effective on my MP3 that is will there be any degradation or loss of entrainment value due to ear buds or whatever? Thanks in advance

I am also interested in listening to LifeFlow on my mp3 player. I am able to do it but I think about the end result. Will that cause any problems?

Hi Barbara,

To the best of my knowledge the track will still be effective, although this could depend on your mp3 player. Some players (not many) convert tracks to their own format before copying them to the player itself from your computer, and this could potentially cause a loss of the quality of the track and thus remove the effectiveness of the entrainment beats. However, if you're just copying the mp3 download to your mp3 player as it is, then it should retain it's quality.

The one thing you'd have to watch out for is the graphic equalizer type settings on your mp3 player as these too would disrupt the quality of the tracks and thus the effectiveness. Just like the recommendation on this site regarding headphones, you should ensure that the track is played without any change and most mp3 players have a "normal" setting for that.

The only other factor is really the quality of the headphones. Ear bud headphones are not the most comfortable and the sound quality may be reduced a little because of them, but there's no reason that the entrainment tracks won't work with them.

Well, assuming you are downloading the Lifeflow course of tracks, they are already in MP3 format. If you've purchased the CD's then, of course you would have to convert them to MP3 format from the CD. I'm not sure about the terms and conditions of use, but I don't see why you wouldn't have the right to convert the CD to MP3 if you purchased it yourself and it's for your own use. If you're doing that, just be careful that you convert it to an MP3 with a suitable bitrate e.g. 192Mbit/s or above so you don't lose the effectiveness of the track.

I'm sure, if there is an issue with copying the CD's to MP3 for your own use i.e. they breach some Terms and Conditions of use, then the support team will come on here and let you know.

1. If importing from the LifeFlow CD's ie. with iTunes ensure your Import settings are correct;

From the player's top menu EDIT, PREFERENCES, GENERAL [TAB] and choose IMPORT SETTINGS;

Import using: MP3 Encoder

Setting: (my default settings is 320 Kbps Stereo...so you should be ok). Otherwise change if set to lower than 192 Kbps.

2. The downloaded version ie. Lifeflow 10 file was opened, detected and imported automatically by iTunes (55mb file at 192Kbps).

I am sure other music sofware use similar protocols.
