Now that you come to mention it.... I guess so.

Don't be fooled by my avatar, I'm not a buddhist, although I have had some buddhist teachings. The avatar is just a photo of a sculpture I made last year of a Buddha.

Hugs

That's absolutely wonderful Pan, I am so happy you enjoyed this wonderful family experience.

I totally agree with Ta-Tsu-Wa's wonderful following comment:-

"We can elect to experience happiness and, with practice, we become more and more able to decide what our experience is going to be."

This is a habit I created through practise many years ago when I read the following quote by Abraham Lincoln “A man is about as happy as he makes up his mind to be.” The alternative was simply undesirable to me.

I really think that this decision has helped meditation be such a joyful experience for me - I wish you much peace and joy

Great reply Giles,

I have just been going to some meditation classes run by a Buddhist nun, and like you, am not Buddhist, but can identify with much of their teaching. The meditations complement my LF and are helping me to focus still more.

Great pic Pan!!

Hi Heather,

Yes, there are many great teachings out there. We just have to take from them what makes sense to us and not get tied up or discouraged/put-off by those things that we don't accept or go against our own beliefs. I've heard some people who have gone to the local buddhist meditation classes say that they won't go again, because they don't believe in karma and reincarnation. That's a shame, because it's limiting themselves from learning about all the other great teachings that come from buddhism. Maybe one day they'll realise this and will find what they need.

Hugs
Giles

Hi Giles,
Couldn't help appreciating what a wonderful out look you project with your
beautiful mind coming across your post below.

wouldn't this world be a beautiful place if people use more common sense.
thank you .I loved this .

Default Thank you

Hello Panthau,
I want to express how happy your post has made me. I took pleasure in reading about your success and seeing you with those closest to you in your photo. Right on. I feel a connection to you in the way that I suffer from panic attacks, too, and I admire your strength and overcoming past conditions in such an especially volatile setting. I guess why I relate so much is that I have had some bad experiences at amusement parks and carnivals before.

Thank you for sharing and I hope this is only the beginning to the wonderful changes coming your way.

Hi Pan,

Thank you for posting your story! I have been meditating with LifeFlow for a year now, it has been the most amazing year of my life in terms of Life lessons and personal growth, and I am quite sure that Life Flow has played a huge part in keeping me sane.

You were talking with a few others about happiness, emotions and their opposites, something I have been interested in for a long time, the question of achieving Balance. I like how Giles expressed it, that happiness is always there, it is just waiting to be uncovered. I see this as something which we experience on many levels, with our Ego's, our Minds as the tool which we use to quantify, judge, deal with day-to-day issues in our lives, needing the extremes of emotion to experience the World we live in. But underneath all that, we have a spiritual core, which only knows happiness, peace if you like. I believe that it is a question of letting go of the Ego, and learning to live from your True Inner Self, that part of you which knows only peace and happiness. Like gradually letting go of the 'baggage' we all accumulate and carry around with us, bit by bit, and so allowing our true selves to shine.

Many congrats on ovecoming your phobia of rollercoasters... that is something I would still like to do!!!

All the best,

Chris

Besides that i wouldn´t ride with any of the rollercoasters, because of my claustrophobia, and if i would have done it, i would have had panic attacks (like i had last winter when we we´re skiing).

Not this time...because of my daily meditation i knew how i can keep calm and keep me together. All i did was to concentrate on my breathing every time something stressed me. I tried nearly every single rollercoaster and guess what - i didnt had a single panic attack. Instead i had so much fun with my girlfriend and my son since ages.

Thats not the only way how i benefit from meditation, but one i wanted to mention :-)
Congrats. That picture made me smile. It's awesome to read about the breakthroughs of others.
