Advanced Yoga Practices
Hi there,
I thought i should mention it here, as it has absolutly wonderful effects on my meditation. After about 2 months of using AYP, i feel bliss rising up through every meditation and througout the day. While doing pranayama, im sometimes near an orgasm... thats of course not the reason for its existence, but i can recommend it to anyone instead of viagra ;-)
AYP Home Page - Free Lessons in Meditation, Pranayama, Kundalini, Tantra
An integral, open source yoga system which has unbelievable bliss effects.
Thanks
Pan

Just were in a, about 30min long samadhi like state. Again, i just can recommend this path to everyone, who wants to experience his true inner self, and is maybe as resistant as i was ;-)

Ok that probably was no samadhi state, now that i even know what samadhi is
But blissfull or ecstatic indeed.
Yogananda says, a normal human beeing needs 1-2 million years development by nature, and just a few to maximum about 50 years by doing kriya yoga (which has similar techniques then ayp). Sounds useful somehow. Does this fit into the category advertising?

Union with what some may call god. Have you ever had any samadhi? This state, where one stops breathing and is absolutly one with the cosmos and god.
All these realizations that many people have, can be realized through meditation, if one is ready for it. But its a difference to just deeply realize the truth, or to be it. Where there are no physical and mental borders anymore, even in the human body.
Just my point of view. For me just the mantra changed, and i added some pranayama, but it had markable effects.

I've been reading through that site since you posted it. I think I'm gonna try adding Pranayama to my practice, it sounds very interesting and rather easy to do.

I've decided to give it a go. Do you just use pranayama, Pan?

For anyone who was following this thread or wondering about if this works, I would recommend doing pranayama before meditation. I've been doing that for a little while now and it really does prime you for meditation. I've been doing pranayama for 5-7 minutes, then relax a bit, then start my mantra. I don't worry about the length of the session or really anything else during meditation anymore. I let it go its own way and release whatever arises. The quality of the sessions has improved since I incorporated it into my practice. And i'm still on LF10...I feel like there's more to be experienced on this level since I started it with pranayama.
Since it is so powerful, i've experienced some smaller emotional upheavals than I remember experiencing with just the mantra. It's always the following day though. When I do it, it's at night before I go to bed, I feel completely clean, relaxed, and light. When I wake up, I usually feel a bit off...but it's not completely off-balancing...
It's just getting rid of what was going to come out regardless.
