Default Remember Them

Hi All,
Couldn't sleep long as my body woke me up in a sweat. I had to eat as I did not eat enough at supper to make up for the energy that my body used to bike many miles on my mountain bike to the War Memorial to pay my respects on November 11th. I climbed a flag pole cement holder structure and stood there for two hours plus as the crowds slowly grew and the events unfolded till the conclusion of the service. At the end as the Veterans marched around the cenotaph grounds and departed my discomfort in my legs was a pittance to compare as a grain of sand to their beach full of sand of their experiences in wartime.

As I ate my cereal upon waking, i read some of the experiences of Veterans in our local neighbour newpaper then i went online...

one link brought tears to my eyes...here is to share to all that care....

Mother nature gave us a memory to prevent us from making the same mistake twice...

I think the best respect we can give to those who died or got wounded for us, is to make sure that their children and grandchildren can grow up safe.

Great post Jim, and it's good to see your face alongside your posts
