Yes, I too had this in the beginning.
It has all to do with the releasing of emotions you have carried with you for a long time.
When they re-surface, you feel the emotion again, sometimes just as strong or even stronger than the event that triggered it.
If you have trouble detaching from your emotion right away, take 2-3 deep breaths. This triggers an automatic response in your body to slow down, making it easyer to look at your emotion from a distance.
By observing it, accepting it, and finally allowing yourself to "let it go", you will be free from it, for the rest of your life.
