I, personally, end up napping if I try to meditate after a meal. But then again, I'm always game for a power nap

It is better to meditate after a light meal then on an empty stomach.
Simply don't (never) eat too heavy. No meat for instance.
That works for me just fine.
There is no golden rule when you should meditate or not.
Only guide lines like the ones that Michael has sent us.
For the rest it is up to you to find out when it's the best time to meditate.
